"Representative came to my house, took the necessary measurements and specs. I received an estimate the same day. The glass was ordered and installed soon after it was received by Canyon. All personnel that I dealt with were knowledgeable and professional."

"C & C Roofing guaranteed us no leaks and even promised to come back out if the leak continued anytime within the next few months after their repairs. We are pretty much through the rough weather season and that was not necessary as everything seems to have been taken care of properly on the first visit."

"I found Pacific Northwest Cabinetry on Angie's List and took advantage of a $99 offer for a kitchen design consultation. Peter Schraner, owner, and Crystal Kennedy, designer, came to my house for that initial meeting. My house has a narrow galley-type kitchen that had been remodeled (before I bought it) in the cheapest way possible and in a manner completely out of character with the rest of the house. I told Peter and Crystal that I wanted a kitchen that would fit with the era of the house--a 1922 Dutch Colonial. Crystal asked lots of questions and took notes while Peter was busy taking careful measurements. I mention the measurements because Peter was the only contractor I talked to who told me that the kitchen could not be widened--the stairs to the second floor were in the way (it turned out he was absolutely correct about that!). At the time he even offered to refund my $99 when it was obvious I was disappointed that I was stuck with my narrow kitchen. I declined the offer because as a result of this meeting, I was already impressed with this company and wanted to see their design and bid--it was clear that this team is knowledgeable and very experienced in remodeling older homes. I cannot say enough good things about the design Crystal produced. It was by far the best design I got and exactly what I had hoped for--beautiful, functional, and entirely in keeping with the rest of the house (I had bought a few books on traditional/classic kitchens, and Crystal's design incorporated several of the features I saw there, e.g., glass cabinets, built-in hutch, subway tile, furniture feet at the bottom of the cabinetry). Peter's bid for the job was more expensive than most of the other bids I received, but I was prepared for that by reading the reviews on Angie's List. What you get in return is a project that involves quality workmanship from start to finish and is completed on time and on budget with nary a hitch. If Peter says your project will take 8-10 weeks, then your project will take 8-10 weeks. This was particularly important in my case because as part of the job I had the hardwood floors refinished in the entire house. As a result, we had to move out completely from the first and second floors for a period of time, so I welcomed Peter's tight schedule since I was having to coordinate both the move-out and move-back-in with the moving company. Peter's initial bid did not include a few things that were in the bids of other contractors--insulation in the kitchen and mudroom, replacement of cast iron pipe from upstairs bath (the kitchen was going to be gutted from floor to ceiling so the drain would be easily accessible), replacement of molding so that all doorways in the kitchen would coordinate. But he agreed to add these items since all were good ideas. During the whole time I was undergoing the lengthy process of deciding on a general contractor for my project, I peppered Peter and Crystal with many emails asking lots of questions, and they unfailingly answered them all in good time and with the detail I needed. At the start of the project Peter provided me with a schedule that indicated what was going to be done each day of the remodel. The remarkable thing is that the schedule was followed to the letter; the only deviation occurred when inspectors didn't show up, something over which Peter had no control. Peter was even able to accommodate last-minute additions to the project that I ended up wanting, including extensive painting throughout the house, as well as electrical work upstairs and in the basement that had nothing to do with the kitchen remodel. Yet somehow everything magically stayed on the original schedule--it is simply stunning how Peter manages to do that. The remodeling process itself went extraordinarily smoothly. Crystal, the designer, provided a lot of support for decisions I had to make along the way, including selection of the countertop, tile backsplash color, sink and faucet, light fixture in the mud room, and paint color, not just in the kitchen but throughout the house. All of the craftsmen Peter brought into my home were top-notch. And, in particular, I cannot say enough good things about the cabinetmakers in Peter's shop--Josh, Aaron, and Mike. The cabinets they built and installed for me (full overlay cabinets in kitchen and mud room, flush inset cabinets in the dining room) are absolutely gorgeous, with superb quality workmanship. I should also mention that the level of service throughout the project was extraordinary, even after the project was over and I'd paid my final bill. As just one example, I accidentally managed to put a ding in my new countertop shortly after moving back in. I emailed Peter about my mishap, and soon the countertop guy was back at my house fixing it, at no cost to me. I now have a beautiful new kitchen that is timeless and elegant, as well as new built-ins with lighted glass shelves in the dining room, newly-refinished hardwood floors throughout the house, and fresh paint nearly everywhere. My house has been transformed! I've had two friends comment independently that the kitchen looks like it has always been there--exactly what I was aiming for. In sum, I am so glad I decided to work with Pacific Northwest Cabinetry on this project. It was worth everything I paid for it and I could not be happier."

"I initially contacted MS Railing through Angie's List and Serge was quick to respond. Because Serge needed more details we continued to communicate through texting so I could send him pics of the studs in the wall so he would know it would hold the heavy glass door. I was told (by several glass companies) that they wouldn't come out to measure until the tile was installed. However, Serge did give me a rough estm via text just so we'd have an idea of the cost. As soon as the tile was installed I texted Serge about coming out to measure to give us a solid quote. He came out the very next day and was punctual! We also got other estm for the glass from companies off of AL as well. What set MS Railing apart from the rest was the respect that Serge gave by taking off his shoes when he came into our house, MS Railing also had the lowest price and the quickest install turn around time (a week and a couple of days) compared to the other estms we received (3 weeks). The actual estm Serge gave us before he left was even lower than his rough estm he sent me via text! Since we were still waiting on a company to send us their quote, just to make sure, so we waited to let Serge know we wanted to go with his company to install the glass. When we finally got the other quote it was much higher so, I texted Serge to let him know (that was on a Fri evening), I was concerned maybe we should've waited until Mon morning to tell him. However, he did respond right away even though it was after hours. That following Tues I texted Serge to see about our order. I didn't need to worry b/c Serge had remembered and in fact on Weds he texted me to say the glass was ready!! They also had available an apt for 10 am apt spot the next day or I'd have to wait until the following Mon. I chose the 10 am appt.! The guys showed up on time, installed the glass within the hour and cleaned up! We have not used the shower yet as we are still adding some new fixtures and all to the bathroom but we love the look of the doors! We did pay extra for the glass stain protection that was applied to the glass before it was installed. The protection last 5 yrs and the price that was quoted was well below the other companies and worth the extra cost to us. A clear "plastic" strip was attached to the bottom of the shower door to help keep any water from coming out. I was told we could take it off but you can't really even see it plus it's nice to have the extra protection against any potential water that may get splashed onto the door and out onto the floor. Again we are super happy with the service that MS Railing provided and the glass looks wonderful!

"They put moldings over a closet and punctured the tracks so the doors couldn't slide. That created an extra job for my husband who had to redo it. One window they framed and did a good job the other had a few gaps that I can fix with caulk. The closet they framed was uneven by about a half inch on one side. So good job for getting a few things finished but not very detail oriented.

"Larry and Glen did work for us - this was the third job. They installed a 40' block retaining wall to extend our back yard. Then they installed a patio and two walks. Once again they did a great job for a fair price. These guys are the greatest."

"We didn’t do the work with them. The quote was good and we were considering doing some work on some tiles before we sold the house and then we decided we were not going to do it. He was great and seemed fair. We needed some tiles cleaned and he had some chemicals that got it off right away and we were not able to get it done with over the shelf stuff. We didn’t go with him for the full job."
