"These crawlspace guys showed up and took care of a problem I didn't have any guts to do. My wife smelled a dead animal under the house. We thought it was in the ducting, but the co-owner of the company Dillon came through, crawled in, and after a lot of searching, found the dead rat hiding just above it. He cleared everything out, got everything sealed up again and gave several excellent options to move forward. I can't recommend the crawlspace crew enough if you find you need crawlspace remediation in Portland, Oregon or the surrounding areas."

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

Dog vomit slime mold is not toxic to humans, plants or pets. However, it can act as an allergen to people with allergies. Dog vomit slime mold is considered more of a cosmetic nuisance. However, it is beneficial to its ecosystem as it helps break down organic matter, releasing nutrients for plants.

Yes, when you add shock to your pool, it raises the free chlorine levels in the water, which in turn kills bacteria and algae. Although you may think of using algaecide to get rid of algae, it’s actually a preventative measure.

Additionally, killing the algae alone isn’t sufficient to get your pool back to normal. You need to vacuum, brush, clean the filter, and balance the water.

When doing any type of project involving mold, it's important to wear the right protective gear. You'll want an N-95 or KN-95 mask to keep yourself from inhaling mold spores, which can be irritating or trigger an allergic reaction in people with weakened immune systems. You'll also want to wear protective eyewear and gloves to limit your contact with mold.

Yes, mold on wood furniture can be dangerous, especially if it is identified as black mold. Inhaling spores or touching mold can make some people sick with respiratory issues, skin rashes, and eye irritation. However, some people have mild or no symptoms after exposure to mold. If you are going to clean mold off wood furniture, you should wear protective equipment to avoid direct exposure.

The answer to whether it’s safe to use a moldy dishwasher is: It depends. Mold exposure affects people differently. It’s possible that even a small amount of mold in your dishwasher could contribute to respiratory issues and other health problems, especially if you have an underlying health condition. Mold is capable of surviving the high heat and detergent used in a dishwasher cycle, so it’s important to ensure that you act quickly at the first sign of mold, or contact a house cleaner near you to stay on top of any potential mold problems.
