"For the past couple years Isidro and the team have been taking care of yard, not just mowing but also clearing out and spraying blackberry bushes, removing and reshaping bushes and trees, landscaping the edges, etc. My yard looks wonderful!"

"Robert and his team of workers completed an extensive "refreshing" of my lawn and yard. After several years of rough NW weather, the landscaping needed an update. Not only did they add some new plants and trees but also refreshed everything with new bark dust. Now everything looks as beautiful as it did when we first had our lawn and landscaping done 8 years ago. When the job takes several days, Robert's team always leaves their work area clean at the day's end. Robert always listens to my ideas and then either implements or suggests other options based on his expertise. Overall, this is a very professional owner and business."

"I had to wait a couple of weeks for them to come out, as they were so busy. They arrived exactly on time the morning of our appointment. I first explained to Aaron all that I wanted done. He then went over it with his two men. They got right to work. I had an Angie's List deal, which provided me with 3 hours of work for the two men. Aaron was nice enough to offer to haul away all the debris at no cost, as he didn't expect my job would take the full three hours. They usually charge extra for removing debris. Both my front and backyard looked fantastic when they were through."

"They did extra and  I was happy to pay the difference.  It was a big job; they got on the job immediately, had ideas to make it better and cleaned out old planters and hauled away debris.  I had fouled them up by not responding to the email (user error on my part) when they tried to schedule with me but Juan stopped by the day before, we clarified my mistake and they went ahead on schedule.  I was very pleased and will use them again.

"Leo’s Landscaping is a great company. They arrived on time and immediately started working. They handled everything from big tree removal to trimming shrubs. When they were done they cleaned it all up and hauled away all of the debris. I’m very happy and definitely will call them again."

"Green Forest Landscape did an exceptional job. They pruned two rather overgrown hedges, and cleaned everything up. I would not be hesitant to hire this company in the future."

"Brian came out to do an assessment and create a work plan for my yard. Brian is very easy to talk with. We quickly had mind share on the project. The January project (4 hours) included: 1) General yard clean up. 2) Remove 4 trees from property. 3) Light pruning on some trees 4) Applying moss eradication. 5). Planning for February project."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

Exterior paint contains a higher level of VOCs, which can be dangerous if you’re exposed to it for a long period of time. The good news is that paint’s toxicity reduces significantly once fully dried and cured. Do not keep open exterior paint cans in your home, basement, or garage, exposing your household to harmful chemicals over time.

You can paint over lead paint, or “encapsulate” it with a special paint that includes an ingredient called an encapsulant. The EPA approves encapsulation as a lead paint removal method as long as the paint remains undisturbed. Standard types of paint without an “encapsulant” from the big box stores or hardware stores do not meet EPA standards for remediation of lead-based paint.
