After my spouse and I fell ill over the summer, we had to let the yard go, and it took us a long time to recover so we never had enough energy to catch up. By the time we called Robert, we felt embarrassed of our yard and anxious to get it resolved. We have struggled in the past getting landscapers to follow through with giving us bids so we were nervous about starting that process again. Artistic Landscapes is FANTASTIC! They've been taking care of my landscaping for about 2 years and do a wonderful job. Robert and his team were wonderful to work with! Not only were the prices fair and reasonable, he even added free extras around every corner - to make our backyard/front yard more special. They did a fantastic job! It looks much better than we ever imagined. When we first started we wanted to cut costs so we were only going to have about half done. Then things transpired in a way that we needed to go ahead and get the entire project done. They continued on with the additional work and finished the project. They were punctual and very communicative throughout the entire project. It was a bit on the expensive side but the whole thing overall was a fantastic experience and we are extremely happy with the final result.

Robert, owner of Artistic Landscapes, and his lead team member, Sergio, made our landscaping dreams come true. We were more than pleased with the exquisite workmanship and the quality of the materials used and are certain Artistic Landscapes has added value to our home. Robert stayed on budget and all work was completed by him and his team in a timely fashion. Robert's vision for our yard exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. We discussed our design preferences with him such as colors, types of plants and trees we favored, and Robert took all that in to consideration when he transformed our yard into the best in the neighborhood. He created a natural dry creek bed and slate walkway (see before and after pictures) that look like they have always been there, surrounded by a variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers that are perfect for our climate. We also had a drip irrigation system installed and accent LED lighting that beautifully illuminates his landscape masterpiece every evening. Our yard is basically no maintenance or fuss. OK, a little weeding once in a while. We were so pleased with the front yard, we asked Robert to spruce up our backyard too. He and his team, headed by Sergio, installed a drip irrigation system, accent lights, new bark dust, and a few well placed plants. Robert suggested a change on the side of our house and designed a walkway that makes it easier -and safer- to access that side of our house. Everyday, Sergio and his crew cleaned up the work area before leaving for the day (even cleaning up anything that may have drifted onto our neighbor's property). They were always respectful and professional and arrived on time everyday and went above and beyond what was expected. And during the whole process, my beloved Little Free Library remained in place and open for business. Needless to say, we think our property looks stunning! We've had total strangers knock on our door just to tell us how much they love the yard! We do too. You won't be sorry hiring Robert and Artistic Landscapes.

Working with Robert, Sarah, Sergio and their amazing crew has been a wonderful experience. After meeting and collecting bids from a wide variety of landscape companies over several years it was immediately clear that Robert understood our need for function and design of our small sloped yard. His team was always on time, professional, tidy and kind. Communication throughout the project was excellent and responsive. Hard and soft scape choices were great quality. Workmanship was top notch. Our project included excavation, walls, pavers, steps, lighting, water, electrical, drainage, rock and boulders, plants and trees. We could never have tackled this project ourselves and we’re so grateful for the Artistic Landscapes Team. We could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend, no hesitation at all.

We had moved into a house with a pleasant little backyard with virtually no landscaping. After our second wet season of having dogs and kids tramping mud all over our kitchen floors, we decided to have work done to remedy the obvious water issues we were having in our backyard. We did what any good homeowner does and talked to multiple companies. Five, to be exact. Being an amateur designer, I planned out our dream backyard and had all of them quote on the same thing and then reviewed all the bids to make sure they were comparable (on a spreadsheet). We reached back out to some to make sure the material pricing was comparable, and no one was pricing a higher quality product or over engineering anything. I will tell you that Artistic Landscapes was NOT the lowest bid we received, but also wasn’t the highest. What really gave us confidence was that the owner came out and talked through the actual issues we were having with drainage and came up with a solution that was neither intrusive nor broke the bank. We are very happy with our choice. The Artistic Landscape team went above and beyond working quickly and doing REALLY hard labor to break up our rocky ground. They bent over backward catering to my knit picky demands. Most importantly, they were extremely respectful and clean. We have had other contractors that left their tools out at night between workdays and Artistic Landscape always picked up everything and never left any trash. We have now been living with a lush, green yard for six months through the rainy season. Dog paws come in dry and the kids always want to play outside while we like relaxing in our outdoor living space and getting our hands dirty in our new garden. Artistic Landscapes did an amazing job on creating a safe and accessible pathway along the side of our home.  What used to be an eyesore of a muddy hill that was unpleasant to traverse, is now a beautiful stairway that we are proud to say is part of our property. Robert and his team are clear experts in the field of landscape and hardscape design and talked with us on options to delineate our property as well as make this a functional and beautiful final product. Bonifacio and Ribaldo made a great on-site team and always had the worksite tidied throughout the workday and immaculate before leaving. The team communicated throughout the project, and Robert made several visits to check in on our satisfaction and emailed with updates. We are very pleased with how it all turned out and has exponentially improved the safety, accessibility, and beautification of our home's exterior. Robert and his team of workers completed an extensive "refreshing" of my lawn and yard. After several years of rough NW weather, the landscaping needed an update. Not only did they add some new plants and trees but also refreshed everything with new bark dust. Now everything looks as beautiful as it did when we first had our lawn and landscaping done 8 years ago. When the job takes several days, Robert's team always leaves their work area clean at the day's end. Robert always listens to my ideas and then either implements or suggests other options based on his expertise. Overall, this is a very professional owner and business.

How often does a service or company exceed your expectations? Just about never, but Artistic Landscape did by a mile. I cannot say enough good things about them, and their crews. So quiet, so professional, so considerate of every inch of my property as well as all my outside furniture, pots, hose insulators, existing plants ad infinitum. Went the extra mile and did things I didn't even ask them to, with great ideas to add value along the way. Robert the owner is very communicative, and he differs from other bidders I had in that he was personally involved and on site (not just interested in the bid), bringing an artistic flair that other contractors seemed to lack. He reminded me of the conductor of an orchestra, creating a beautiful product, or the director of a stage play. You can tell he LOVES this work. His crew was so competent and considerate of me and my space, and I still keep finding little things they did or replaced that I wouldn't have expected them to. Everyday, they removed the boards, and blew off the yard and driveway before they left. Great troubleshooters too. Immaculate. I couldn't be happier!

We hired Robert & his crew for a complete landscape make-over, front and back yards, and are so pleased we did! They exceeded our expectations with their high quality of work. The job foreman, Jorge, and his crew arrived promptly each day. Jorge is an EXCELLENT foreman! We felt like he went the extra mile with all the work he did. He is very conscientious with an excellent work ethic! The crew was very respectful of our property as well as our neighbors. We were very please and impressed on how well the premises was cleaned at the end of each day and especially the last day. Robert stopped by on a daily basis and stayed in contact throughout the length of the project. We were especially impressed when randomly stopped by a month after the completion of the project. We hired Robert and his team to completely reform our backyard after seeing his work on our neighbor’s backyard. After meeting with us for an initial consult, Robert developed a plan that integrated everything we wanted including more patio space, a hot tub lagoon, fire pit area, space for a shed, water feature, and a level yard area with new sod.
