"Douglas came out and gave me an estimate and said he would do the work the next day. Unfortunately, it rained. He left me a message a couple of days later telling me that 2 men were on the way and they arrived a short while later. Thank you, Douglas! I believe their names were Ralph and Francisco. They were very nice and very professional. They had to use pick axes and shovels but they got out every bit of the stumps and roots of large shrubs that had been in place for 20 years! The put in some nice new soil. Then Francisco carried a very heavy plant and planter from the back yard to the front on his shoulder! Pretty amazing! They dug a nice large hole for the pittosporum and were very careful to plant it so that it looked just right. They cleaned everything up and it looked wonderful! Then they pruned several severely overgrown mugo pines. I was very concerned about doing this because I was afraid they'd end up looking sparse afterwards. These guys really know what they're doing. The shrubs look fantastic! I couldn't believe they could look that nice! And, of course, they cleaned up everything afterwards. There was not a leaf or any dirt left anywhere. I was very impressed, and I'm a pretty critical person. I have their card and will not hesitate to call them again if I need any kind of landscaping service. Highly recommended!

"We have hired JCA Landscape for numerous projects: 1. Move sprinkler control valves to a new location in yard. 2. Install paving stones in a 50 x 15ft area. This included the installation of a 50ft trench drain and a block wall in front of the deck. See pics 1 thru 4. pic4 is the before paving stones. 3. Dig/lay/cover ~60ft trench for electrical line between house and shed. 4. Replace water well shroud and repair water leak in the main water line to the house. All of the projects were completed in a timely manner. Their response to doing things that we asked along with changes, was professional and helpful. Many suggestions were given by them and accepted by us for the paving stone project. They have been the best contractors we have ever hired!"

"They were able to come to the house to work within about 30 minutes of first contacting me! My parents house has a forest of weeds surrounding it and some extremely overgrown bushes. "I hired Castro Landscaping to clean up some yard waste and remove a few large stones from the yard. After a hand-shake agreement on the work and price I paid half upfront and the other half upon completion. The clean-up of the yard waste went smoothly and as agreed. However, he left the large stones citing he did not have room and would be back the next day to remove them. He did not return, I contacted him again and he said he would pick them up the next day. He has not been back, and he has not responded to my attempts to contact him. My assumption is he will never return. This is likely due to the fact that I paid the second half before he completed the job. The owner is a friendly person, but he did not complete the job as agreed."
