"They installed a radon system in our home. It was a little complicated, but they completed the work fairly quickly. They were very friendly and professional, you can tell they knew what they were doing. In less than 24 hours, the radon levels in our home were normal."

"MaGen did an amazing job testing and abating our radon issue, which we weren't even aware of. Maryan's process was easy to follow, he performed work that was even beyond the agreed process (like making necessary fixes to our crawl space), and ensured that the radon system was working well. We went from having the meter read over 10 (pre-work) to under 1. If you're looking for someone that can handle your radon needs, get MaGen to do it ASAP!"

"Everything from the initial free onsite estimate through cleanup after install went great. Our home tested at 30.0 for radon a year ago, so we finally had a few estimates given. RBG associates were the most knowledgeable AND one of the lowest priced. We knew we had a challenging project with a mostly finished basement limiting an easy bore location combined with the fact we didn't want the exhaust pipe routed in certain locations. RBG worked with us and discussed ALL our options. Radon is now down to around 1.2. Outstanding!"

"Radon Pros maintained constant communication about when they would come to our residence. They were honest and clear about what they were going to do. They didn't try to take advantage of us. They were very courteous in every way."

"The installation of radon system was good. They were on time and very nice and cleaned up well afterward but have not been able to get a hold of the company since then to schedule retest. The phone number indicates that voice mail is full and have texted the number with no response and have also emailed them."

"Absolutely professional. Tyler came out exactly on time. His co worker/partner set everything up and explained the process and worked with our schedule. Pricing was VERY affordable and for a job done exceptionally well and clean. I reccomend getting the levels tested in your basement as over time this can be detrimental to ones health. If we have any issues in the future, I will be using Ohio Radon Specialists for all of our mitigation needs."

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

You can vent radon out of your house sometimes by simply opening a window, but it won’t remove the source, and will likely rise above recommended levels quickly. A professional will be needed to assess your home, and determine the best strategy for radon removal. Active radon sump pumps and soil depressurization systems are often used to forcefully vent the radon from your home.

Radon detection is crucial as prolonged exposure to radon gas, a leading cause of lung cancer, poses significant health risks in residential environments.

The cost to replace a radon fan ranges from $300 to $600 for the fan itself, with installation adding an additional $200 to $500. Overall, the total cost for replacement can range from $500 to $1,100, depending on factors such as the fan model, home size, and local labor rates. If the fan is part of a larger radon mitigation system, the price may be higher.

Yes, many systems include warranties for performance. Confirm terms with your installer.

The cost for a radon mitigation system typically ranges from $800 to $1,500, with an average around $1,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the size of your home, the severity of the radon issue, and the type of system required. Your home's foundation type also significantly impacts the cost. For example, sealing and ventilating an unfinished basement might cost around $4,600, while encapsulating a crawl space without a foundation slab can range from $1,500 to $15,000.
