"Mike and his crew were all very professional and a pleasure to work with. The oak floors that they refinished were laid in 1959 and were in pretty bad shape, with stains in multiple areas and burns around the fireplace. In just 3 days they stripped and refinished the top floor of my Cape Cod style house plus 2 bedrooms, the living room, 2 hallways and 3 closets on the main level. All of the hardwood in the house is now beautiful! I would not hesitate to use Mike again or recommend him to others."

"Our bathtub was leaking and the floor was dipping. John the representative was wonderful to work with. In 2 weeks Matt the installer came out and removed our cast iron tub. He repaired the plumbing, put in a new subfloor and installed a walk in shower. He was a hard worker and answered any questions we had. Our bathroom looks beautiful! We are very happy. And there is a lifetime warranty!"

"The floor was only completed a couple of months ago so I donâ t feel like I can give a full review. I will have to see how it holds up over the course of a winter and a few years of wear and tear. The company was great to work with and were more than competitive price wise."

Customers say: Quick response

"We hired Brian to tear out our old flooring (carpet, hardwood and tile) in our kitchen and great room and install engineered hardwood and new baseboard. He and his assistant did a fantastic job and the quality was outstanding. He was creative in the interfacing with other rooms and added detail wood crafting to make the finished floor look outstanding. I would highly recommend him and hire them again for future projects. We also added a few other small projects which were professionally done. He's easy to be around and cleans up daily."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Few home upgrades add resale value above their installation cost, including terrazzo floors. However, they are still a good option if you like the look. While terrazzo may be expensive, it has a solid return on investment of around 55% to 70%. The durability and low maintenance requirements of terrazzo can be appealing selling points, as many buyers will appreciate flooring that can last 40 to 100 years.

To prepare a floor for a steam mop, it’s essential to vacuum or sweep the floor thoroughly to remove dirt, dust, pet hair, and other debris. Skipping this step can lead to streaky results and may cause you to simply spread grime instead of removing it. Worse, hard debris can scratch or damage delicate floors like hardwood or laminate. Proper prep helps ensure a truly clean and protected surface.

If the installer is unwilling to fix the problems and you’re not interested in seeking remediation, you could hide a visually unpleasant floor. This will only work if the floor is structurally sound and the only issue you have is the way it looks. The easiest way to do this is to use large area rugs. You can also paint the floor, although that’s a labor-intensive job if you want to go the DIY route.

Concrete flooring, particularly sealed concrete, is the lowest maintenance flooring available. It is affordable, durable, and can last more than 100 years if you seal it and care for it. Far from just being a boring gray, you can stain, stamp, and even paint concrete to match your style and decor. If concrete is not your thing, consider ceramic tile flooring. It is waterproof, stain resistant, and perfect for wet rooms like kitchens and bathrooms. Luxury vinyl tile also requires very little care; it is water and stain resistant, very durable, and affordable.

Popular flooring types for villas include tile, engineered hardwood, laminate, and vinyl. Tiles are often made of ceramic, terra cotta, or porcelain. The flooring you choose for your villa depends on your budget, the room, and the style you prefer.
