"We were initially Very happy with the work All-State Exteriors did on our roof this summer after some wind and rain damage caused leaking in our home. We experienced additional leakage after they had completed the roof and answered in a timely manner to repair the vents in our bathroom causing the leak. While initially doing the work on our roof, two of the guys asked to come in to look in our attic because they accidentally pulled out the roof jack, but we don't have an attic because it is a modular home and there is no access panel to the piping they accidentally pulled apart. They told us they were pretty sure they fixed it and we shouldn't have any issues. This should have been a red flag to us. As we enter the winter months, we turned on our furnace and it isn't working right.we call an HVAC company to come take a look and they verify there is nothing wrong with the furnace and ask if we had any roof work done recently. When we tell him we had, he looks at the roof jack and tells us that there are definitely issues with it and we should call the roofing company back to fix it as they should be insured against any damages they cause while working. We called a representative who we had worked with when we had the first issue after installation and he came out. He was here for approximately 20 minutes and told us it had to be with the piping and we would have to cut access to fix it and once the piping was fixed he would come out and replace the roof jack. My husband later that day cut an access point and nothing was wrong with the piping, this was confirmed by HVAC personel. My husband calls the same representative to let him know the piping is fine and the representative says he would be out Wednesday to fix the roof jack. It is Wednesday and by 1PM no one has came so, my husband calls the representative to confirm he was still coming out. This representative then says "Oh my manager forgot to call you let me have him reach out." When the manager calls my husband explained the situation and the manager asks "Why do you think that's our problem?". After more of a conversation as to why, the manager told my husband he would talk it over with the initial representative and call back. We are going on 4 days of using space heaters and no solution while the manager "talks it out with the workers because they are saying that didn't happen". Well, the manager called back and his solution was "If you buy a roof jack we will install it because my guy said that did not happen". My husband and I were both home when the installation was done and both know that there were 2 men looking to get in the attic because of accidentally pulling out the roof jack. I understand that you are roofers, but if you mess something up, fix it. Don't put that burden on your customer who trusted your company to do the work and not mess with anything else. I am highly disappointed in how this situation is being handled after a great first impression"

"The crew showed up each day as promised. I was surprised at how many crew members there were, but it made the work go more quickly and smoothly. Fortunately we had good weather each day so they were able to complete our siding project in 3-1/2 days."

"First, scheduling was a headache. Took them 6 months when the sales person said 2-3 months. Work was done in February of 2025. They damaged the gutter guard and after a few months of haggling, they finally replaced it (in June of 2025). It isn't the same color as the original which would have been preferred. More importantly we are still working to resolve an issue with the siding. We had new gutters and James Hardie siding put on in 2021. One of the siding boards came loose and instead of following the instructions for Harding siding, they drove a roofing nail into the middle of the siding board thus nullifying our 50 year warranty on our siding. We chose them because of their reputation for quality and good service. The Service and response from them has been terrible. I will not recommend them. If you have Hardie siding, stay away as they do not train their teams on how to properly work with Hardie siding."

"They scheduled to come in March, they showed to the scheduled to do the installation that seemed to go okay. So, that was the week of March 21st on Saturday. And when they finished the job but nobody came to check anything when the entire order of the sliding casing for the locks were detached from the door and turns out that it was missing some bunch of screws when they came back on Monday. I had two different people to speak with over the weekend, but I never heard anything else. I even sent emails and photos to the company over the weekend but nobody responded and this whole thing. It was over a month a month now and it was still not resolved. It is very difficult to lock and unlocked the door which also makes my kids being annoyed with it. On weekend, someone answered the phone and told me that someone will come but nobody really came to resolved this."

There are several workmanship issues (exposed nails, missing nails, nails too close to the shingle edge) that contributed to the rapid decline of our roof. "I called Ohio Exteriors after getting the referral from Angi. Heather, the person who answers their phones and does their scheduling, was very responsive in calling to make the initial appointment. The estimator showed up on time for the appointment to discuss the project and look at the space where we wanted to add the sunporch (3 season vs. 4 season room). We discussed the project, the options, and he said he'd get the estimate to me right away. Three weeks later, I still hadn't seen anything nor heard from anyone. I called the office and left two messages on their voice mail but never got a response. We're now five weeks out and still nothing...no estimate, no phone call, no email...nothing. We understand the industry is booming right now and companies are very busy with long wait times for work to be completed for a variety of reasons. When the project consultant was here, he mentioned they do interior remodeling (even though their name is Ohio Exteriors), so I aksed if he was intersted in bidding to do all our baseboards, closet doors and interior doors in the three bedrooms, two bathrooms, hallway and hallway linen closet that make up our entire second floor and he said they were so busy that the interior job wasn't even big enough for them to quote. I understand companies are very busy, but to not communicate is less than professional. As professionals, I would hope and expect someone should at least have the courtesy to call and explain that an estimate will not be forthcoming and provide an explanation. Happily, we've found another company that was also an Angi referral that we are having do the project. Customer service is key!"
