The work performed for Mr and Mrs (member name removed) was exactly as specified in our contract with them. The (member name removed) contacted us in March of 2012 to do repairs the insurance company had given them an estimate for. This work included total roof replacement, repair and painting the living room ceiling, replace the attic insulation over the living room above the area where the ceiling was damaged, remediate any mold and replace the carpet in the living room. We completed the work, according to the insurance estimate and our contract, in April 2012. We gave them a free upgraded dimensional shingle and replaced numerous sheets of decking not covered by the insurance at no charge. On April 26 2013, Mrs. [Member Name Removed] called us stating there was mold on the ceiling from a leak in the roof. We made an appointment to inspect the roof and make repairs as needed. On May 10th 2013 we did an inspection and did not find any mold or roof leaks. We showed her that what she was calling mold, was dust that had collected on the ceiling, and it is called "Ghosting" and was visible on the ceilings in the other rooms of the house where we did no work. We explained the remedy is to add the proper amount of insulation that would cover the joists and just wipe down the ceiling would solve the issue. We offered to come back and put extra insulation and wipe down the ceiling living room at no charge and she agreed. She later called and cancelled so we asked her to get another opinion, she has not produced a professional opinion to validate her claims of mold or leaks in the roof. She sent us an estimate to insulate the whole house with r-49 blown in insulation, I called the company that gave the estimate and he didn’t find any mold or leaks but was just giving an estimate to insulate the attic. The problem they have with the ceiling was a pre-existing issue of "Ghosting" which we were not contracted to deal with. Her statement implying that the roof must be replaced and that we covered over the decking is not a true statement. All services
