As planned. They provided a quote for the 2018 season. Already have had 2 plows. Having this locked in has been wonderful.

Took a couple of times to get a quote due to my availability and changes in the work needed. Once scheduled, the work done was what I was looking for within scope, on time, and within budget. Got it done before the storm and well before the work needed on the shed.

Great. Money well invested to approve the functionality and appearance of our side yard.

Mark brought two inexperienced workers over 2 hours late to start the job. He left them unsupervised for almost three hours, during which time they were supposed to be enlarging a small, two block high retaining wall and breaking up/spreading dirt away from the tree within the walled area. I was very concerned about their lack of progress and approached Mark about that being almost 6 hours of my time with little to show for it. He agreed, but explained they were new and he would be using time as a "teaching session" and it would not count towards the Big Deal. He proceeded to do the work himself and built the wall quickly, showing how fast it could have been done by an experienced provider. He left again after telling them to do the additional work repositioning stepping stones and laying a small footpath in the backyard, using our sand and gravel. There were lilies within the space, which I gifted to him instead of disposing of them, so they also took out lilies and put them in their truck. When they showed me the work, the path was unusable. I contacted Mark, he came back and agreed it had to be completely redone. I again clarified that we not be charged "hours" for their incompetent work. He assured me we would not be. Mark came back a few days later and relaid the path in only a few hours. He also brought someone to till the soil away from the tree out front since his other employees had left large chunks instead of smooth dirt as originally promised. All the materials we provided were used. I was told he would have to purchase additional pea gravel since the walkway had to be redone, but was not told the cost or that he would be buying more sand. After receiving an invoice for $526.99 the first week of September, I contacted Jo-Har in writing on 9/7/16 to express my disbelief that they "spent" all of the Big Deal hours on the incompetent work performed on 8/2/16. Therefore, charging us an additional $219.48 for work performed on 8/8/16- all of which was redoing the original botched work. I explained in writing that after seeing how quickly Mark was able to do both the wall and walkway, he could have done both projects within the allotted Big Deal 8 hours himself, therefore we would not be paying for the additional labor. Also, I did not think it was fair to charge us for additional material for the walkway after being told what we had on site was sufficient. We enclosed a check for an $250 and stated in the letter that by cashing the check, they were acknowledging that our balance was paid. They cashed the check and then sent another invoice for $281.99, which includes a finance charge of $5.53. We regret ever purchasing the Big Deal and hiring Jo-Har.

They did a good job. They were neat and efficient.

They did a great job.  They showed up on time and called when they were on their way to confirm.  They were very careful around the flowers, took their time covering all beds and cleaned up before leaving. Good group of guys!
