"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Kitchen and Bath Dealer located in Lakewood, Ohio. Retail sales and end-to-end project management. Family owned and operated for over 35 years. Showroom Hours: Monday-Friday 10:00 AM till 5:00 PM. "We had Imperial remodel our kitchen and attached bath in 2022. We had issues with Imperial throughout the project and we were never sure of costs or when things would be done. In fact, once the contract was signed Imperial rarely communicated with us unless we called them. Imperial is way understaffed. They had one guy working on multiple houses at the same time which meant our house was at a standstill while he was someplace else. My question is why do they only have one guy doing most of the work? Delays occurred when the shower door and vanity top had to be reordered a few times because the wrong size arrived and couldn’t be installed. I guess the third time is the charm. The under counter lights would not come on or we’d loose power in the kitchen. The baseboard heater in the bath didn’t work but instead of believing me when I complained I was told how highly rated the brand is. After complaining all winter it finally got fixed in the spring. They tried to substitute accessories we ordered in the showroom with different ones so we ended up purchasing some elsewhere at our expense. But the last straw is we did not receive the high end cabinets we paid for. There were issues with paint flaws, seams separating and wood cracking. Doors and cabinets had to be replaced. Recently two installers came out to replace a cabinet and put a long scratch in the floor. But instead of offering a solution for repairing the floor the owner denied responsibility. It pains me to write a negative review because we like the individual who did most of the work but we would not recommend using Imperial due to the issues we had with them."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

The best time to buy a new appliance is when your current appliance breaks or you are doing a renovation. You could get a good deal on a new one. Retailers will often list these items on sale during major shopping holidays like Black Friday, Labor Day, etc. Another great time for an appliance upgrade or change is during a renovation. Not only will you be able to better match your appliance to your new style, but the contractor may be able to dispose of your old appliance for no fee.

Cabinetry is usually the most expensive part of a kitchen remodel, frequently making up 30% to 40% of the overall costs. Cabinets require a lot of materials and are time-consuming to install. However, you can save significantly by refinishing or refacing existing dated cabinets that are still in good working order. Appliances, countertops, and flooring are the other costly elements to budget for.

You can lay a refrigerator down to move it with a lot of padding underneath, but it’s best to transport it upright to keep the cooling refrigerant and compressor oil in place. These elements can cause blockages if not given time to settle before turning the fridge on.

If you need to lay the fridge down to move it, position the fridge door hinges so that doors won’t open while moving.

You should never plug a normal 120v appliance into a special 240v outlet, as it can quickly burn out the appliance. This will cause irreparable damage to the appliance and, in worse case scenarios, cause damage to your circuit breaker. Check your appliance’s rating before plugging it into a 220v outlet to avoid electrical disaster.

Regular cleaning, checking ventilation paths, and ensuring correct voltage or power settings maintain efficiency and reduce repair risks.
