"I have to admit that I was skeptical when my wife agreed to a sales visit from American Weathertechs, but salesperson Spencer immediately put us at ease with his mild style. It was clear he was selling a quality product (we got the top of the Alside line...3-pane windows with Krypton gas), and the price seemed reasonable. Spencer answered all of our questions patiently. Everyone I came in contact with at the company gave me confidence. Everyone from Spencer, to Megan in the office, to Dallas who came to measure and ran the crew, were very professional and made sure that we knew what to expect and what was required of us. The crew showed up on-time and completed the job in the expected 2 days in very cold weather. Supervisors Dallas and Scott ran a very tight ship, and everyone on the team knew exactly what they were doing. Only one window (a half circle in our entry way) gave them any trouble at all, but with a little adjustment on the window and the opening it went in just fine. The windows appear to be VERY high quality. Our coldest room (the one over the garage) was instantly warmer with the new windows. The whole process was easier than I had expected, and the house was left clean. My only suggestion is that the crew uses a regular vacuum cleaner on carpet, rather than just the shop vac...there were little pieces of glass that the shop vac did not get. We have a little bit of touch-up paint and spackling to do after the installation, but it is relatively minor (and expected). If you do get the triple-pane windows, be aware that they are thicker than your current windows, and there will be less window sill and room to put up the blinds when they are installed. We were told about this, but the thickness difference was more that we had imagined. We would definitely recommend American Weathertechs for your replacement windows!"

"Horrible experience. The contract I signed was for over $12K. Champion was to install 9 WORKING windows and 1 storm door. One of the windows they installed did not lock properly. They sent a technician who agreed. He tried to fix it, banged it around a bit. He couldn't fix it, had to come back out. After he left, we saw a small crack in the center of the window. When he came back out to fix the initial issue, we pointed out the crack and he agreed that a replacement was required. He put in the order on Oct 29, 2021. As of the date of this review, I still have not received the replacement window. Champion made no effort to contact me to tell me what was going on. I've had to contact them several times. They kept saying it would take 20 weeks (from that Oct 29 date) to get the window and they even said early-April. Clearly, they have trouble with math because 20 weeks from Oct 29 is Mar 18. When it rains, water pours in through the faulty window. When I asked Champion about that, they told me to tape it... over $12K spent and they tell me to "tape it". Really??? When the technician was at the house to repair the window, he mentioned how quickly the initial install happened. He then said Champion does that. They put new service at the top of the priority list. Meaning, any replacements or warranty claims get pushed to the far bottom, leaving us waiting endlessly. Champion is a horrible company. Their windows are horrible. And apparently, they don't care. Go somewhere else. There are better companies out there with better products."

"We wanted to replace the windows on one side of the house and, after massive research, had settled on Softlite windows. Windows plus are the only ones who install this brand in our area. The contractor came and gave us an estimate. We liked the product and the price was very competitive compared to the other estimates, so we decided to do the entire house. (We also had a 3-pane for the price of 2-pane deal). Scheduling the actual installation took time and there were some glitches with communication, but they were solved smoothly enough. The installation took one day and was handled very professionally. And the new windows proved to be worth every penny in the horrible winter we had this year! Plus, they provide amazing customer service after the installation. A screen door got off the rails (I banged my head into it) and they fixed it for free; one of the window panes was cracked and was replaced for free, covered by their all-inclusive warranty. All in all, a nice local company, very professional and personable employees, we would use again (but have no more windows to replace!) and have recommended them."
