"Amazing, amazing, amazing. I can't say enough about how completely awesome this renovation has been. Jason worked with me to figure out a way to make even more space in my bathroom, pushing out a wall that would allow him to install the vanity parallel to the toilet. He tackled an immensely difficult project in the flooring, as my basement slopes; it required a fair amount of leveling before the tile could be installed. Everything was done to my satisfaction (and then some). I have a four-star bathroom in my basement thanks to all the hard work Jason put in. He was a pleasure to work with and easy to talk to, and I definitely will call him again for my next project.

"I called in the morning and explained my problem. Aaron said he could show up to take a look within a couple of hours. He showed up barely two hours later, as promised, inspected the situation and gave me a verbal estimate and said he could be back to fix it after lunch. I agreed and he left. Sure enough around 12:30 he came back with his equipment and assistant and they fixed my problems by 2:00pm. I was working when they finished but he called to let me know they were done and sent me pictures of the work before covering the pipe back with dirt. I am very pleased with the professionalism (which is a rare thing nowadays) and the punctuality. The work quality looks good but time will tell. Overall I am very happy with the experience and would certainly recommend this business. I plan to begin using them to perform maintenance in the future."

"Everything went fantastic from quote to install. The salesman come out measured and showed me some samples. He then walked me through the quoting process and asked me if there was anything I wanted to change about my existing products. I’ll tell you I hadn’t even thought of it until he asked. We changed some styles of windows to better suite my needs. When I the windows got put in the crew was efficient and quick. They cleaned up after themselves and showed me how to operate the new product. Fabulous experience"

"Jeff worked extremely hard over the 2-3 days it took to completely install everything. He did a great job putting everything together in his shop & setting them once he got here. We absolutely love what it has done for our room"

"It was a fine experience. They installed some front lights & did some plug work in our back room. They were prompt and sent one guy. We didn’t have enough for him to do and he left early."

"My gutters were cleaned, I was charged extra for the screening on first level gutters, but the screens were not but back correctly, one screen is lying on my porch, they were to return 6-19-18 no show no call, today is 6-21-18, I will pay for the cleaning but not the additional charge for the screens, because I will have to pay someone else to do it, or do it myself, and Mr. Tuttle was rude and argumentative, stated he under bid the job, If they have been doing this as long as their site claims, I would think that they should know what they are doing by now. But you don't relay that to the customer, you eat the cost and learn from it!!!"

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Older faucet fixtures may have some corrosion, leaving them stuck. Try a few techniques to loosen the fixtures.

  • Wrap the fixture with a towel and tap the base with a hammer.

  • Use a putty knife to gently remove any caulk that may be holding the handle or fixture in place.

  • Apply a few drops of penetrating oil around the base of the fixture or around the nuts.

  • Purchase a faucet pulling tool to pop the fixture loose.

Clean regularly with non-abrasive cleaners, avoid pouring grease down the drain, and check for leaks under the sink.

The best material to use will depend on your budget and style goals. Fireclay is a great choice but is expensive and heavy. Stainless steel is less expensive and more durable, but lacks the wow factor a clay sink might. Copper is very expensive but lasts a long time and has a striking appearance. Those looking for an industrial look can go with concrete, or those looking for a classic design might choose porcelain.

Tools include pipe wrenches, plungers, and augers. Professionals use advanced equipment for complex issues.

In many ways they are the same thing, which is a large sink that has a tall front section, often called an apron. This is because the depth of the sink prevents splashing against you, serving the same purpose as an apron. While all farmhouse sinks are apron sinks, not all apron sinks are farmhouse sinks.
