"We purchased a late 1930?s home in Clintonville in late December, 2011. One of the recommendations of the home inspector that we hired was that we switch out the old Federal Pacific electric panel in the basement.  Matt Wehrle was recommended by a friend-of-a-friend who was very impressed with the work that he had done for her in her Clintonville home. When I had heard that he was a local family man, we were immediately interested because we like to hire local folks who have homes of their own in the area and who also have families to feed.
I called Matt on Tuesday (9/17) and arranged to meet him at my house the next day (Wednesday). I was immediately impressed with his background, professionalism, and particularly his knowledge as he informed that the Federal Pacific electric panels were known notoriously to be fire hazards! (House inspector never mentioned that part!) His estimate was pretty much in line with the other estimates I had been given prior to our meeting so, all things considered,  I hired him on the spot. When I asked him how soon he could start, I was surprised when he said ?how?s Monday morning sound??.say 8:30?9:00??   ?.and so the date was set!
They (Matt and his co-worker, Craig) arrived a head of time and got started promptly, just as soon as they walked in the door. I left a few times to go out and run some errands and when I returned, they were working just as consistently as when I had left them. They were both extremely polite and courteous and I rather enjoyed their company. Being somewhat of a geek myself, I asked numerous questions about what they were doing and how they were doing it?and they were both quite willing to take the time to explain. I was particularly interested in Craig?s profound knowledge of the history of electrical wiring; how it used to be in early years versus how it?s done today. On separate occasions, I took them each through the house to discuss other projects for which I would need the benefit of their expertise.
Both gentlemen were a delight and the job they did was quite spectacular. They upgraded me to a 200 AMP service panel, installed a new metering system outside, and installed a whole-house surge protector?.all in about 5 hours. They cleaned up after themselves when they were finished.
It?s hard to find folks (you trust) who are willing to work hard to produce a GOOD PRODUCT. We can now scratch one more task off of our very long list!

"I had stay dry install a drain in front of my garage door and in the middle of the installation a big rain storm started and the guys still stayed and finished the concrete work and well the rain ruined it but when I called stay dry came right out and fixed the concrete and it looks great."

"Heath and his crew carefully excavated around the area of the suspected blockage or break and found that the original drain line had not been properly connected when it was originally installed and had caused the four-inch plastic drain line to become clogged with mud and stop working. Heath connected the four-inch drain line as it should have been connected when it was originally installed. He connected the drain line from the house and the existing clean-out pipe to the existing drain line with a 45 degree elbow.
Before I called Eand B Wooley, I had started to install a collection sump box where the four-inch line connects to the six-inch farmer's tile drain line. Heath connected the lower end of the green four-inch PVC drain line to the six-inch farmer's tile drain line and my collection sump box with another 45 degree elbow to complete the installation. He tested the connection and the water flow to make certain the line was draining properly before filling in the area he had excavated. After confirming that the drain lines were working, he carefully filled in the areas of excavation and leveled the ground to make certain damage to the surrounding grass was minimized.
I was completely impressed by the professional work Heath and his crew accomplished to isolate, identify and correct the problem of the original installation. Heath's services were very cost-effective. While the results of the new installation haven't been tested by a heavy rain and high ground water, I'm confident the system will work better than originally installed.

"I bought a new toilet from Lowes and had them install it. Big mistake. The installers didn't know what they were doing (admitted they installed it wrong) and couldn't figure out how to fix it. "In all of the 24 years that we've lived in our home, our sump pump never kicked on. We just assumed that it was because it didn't have to because our property is on a hill, but it turns out that it was rusted solid. Also, the water pipes from the downspouts on the west side of the house to the street were clogged with soil and/or roots, and were not draining rain water underground to the street's gutter efficiently, so in a heavy downpour, the excess water was seeping through the concrete blocks of our foundation on that side of the house. Luckily, we discovered water on the floor in our basement before it got to be a major problem, and we scheduled a crew from Stay Dry Waterproofing to install a new sump pump and all new PVC pipes underground. They showed up on Monday morning as promised, and spent several hours tunneling under the mulch beds next to our house and down the hill, and then UNDER the sidewalk to the gutter. They did a good job by returning the top soil dirt back into the trench and the sod back in place. They did poke a small hole in the plastic window well cover with a shovel, but it's no big deal (we sealed it with duct tape, and big flowerpots will cover it in the summer). Joe Basham was very polite & friendly, and he and his crew did an excellent job!"

Mid state basement systems had the best and most fair pricing. They did not use any scare tactics and were upfront and honest. They were also the only company to use a laser level and show me the sag difference in my joists that I was experiencing. I hired mid-state basement systems to do crawl space support and repair on my load bearing wall in my basement. MY PROBLEM WAS UNIQUE AS LOAD BEARING WALLS NORMALLY DO NOT NEED TO BE REPAIRED LIKE THIS! Rating of sales 5/5 Rating of the installation crew 5/5 Rating of management 5/5 Rating of mid-state as a company : 10/5 I do not believe I would have received this level of responsiveness of any of the competitors. I would choose mid-state basements for any basement project I had. Please use my review to know that mid-state basement systems will do the job the right way and how you need it to be done.
