Great workers and very professional

Chris & CJ from Stay Dry repaired a leak in our exterior gutter drain system that was originally installed by Stay Dry in 2021. They arrived on time and efficiently & neatly (had to dig to uncover about 12 ft of pipe) repaired the underground leak start to finish in about one hour, being careful not to damage nearby plants & flowers. This 5 star review is for Chris' & CJ's performance only. Cost is unknown as our condo assn would handle costs, if any. Should be zero as this should be warranty work.

I chose stay dry to help keep my basement from taking on water, because they offered a belt and braces solution rather than just a patch job. The foreman Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable. The work was thoroughly completed and they cleaned up after themselves well.

Horrible people. Money taken for down payment cancelled within the allotted time on my agreement to get a full refund they would not talk to me and refused to return the money. If I would have known about the 22 BBB complaints and several poor Google reviews I would have been able to save my 1000+ dollars. Even there employees are stating rip off "Do Not Use" Sounds like they are in small claims court often. They should focus more on running a business not rip people off they would be more successful and not in court all the time.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Stay Dry Waterproofing and I can confidently say that they are the best waterproofing company in town. From start to finish, their team of experts were professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs. The project manager, Brock, was fantastic to work with. He took the time to thoroughly explain the waterproofing process and answered all of my questions with patience and expertise. He also provided a detailed timeline for the project, which helped me plan accordingly. The installation crew arrived on time and worked diligently to complete the project on schedule. They were respectful of my property, kept the work area clean, and were mindful of noise levels. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work and level of service provided by Stay Dry Waterproofing. My basement is now completely dry and I have peace of mind knowing that my home is protected from water damage. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of waterproofing services. They truly deserve 5 stars!

Overall, we are not convinced that this installation was worth the cost or disruption and the experience did not meet the expectations we had based on our conversations with the sales rep. While an interior waterproofing system made a lot of sense to address our issues, once work started, it was clear that our house already had an underdrain system in place, but the crew continued demolition and installation. As part of the work, Stay Dry required replacement of our one-year-old sump pump (and battery backup) with their system and charged extra for the battery backup. The crew worked quickly, but caused some unnecessary damage to our finished basement walls and the concrete finish was less smooth than expected. The third star is provided for the follow-up visit by their customer service team to clean up some of those shortcomings.

We were taken advantage of by this company, as they gave us an improper assessment by an inexperienced salesperson, and refused to return our $4k deposit after 2 weeks of changing our minds not to do the service. We were new to Ohio in August 2022 and had $50k in water damages before even moving in (taken care of by home insurance). In September when there was a big rainstorm and we saw water leaking into the basement, we were on edge and knew a repair needed to be done immediately. Stay Dry offered a quote of $19,071 for an interior basement waterproofing system, and $561 for exterior foundation waterproofing, for a total of $19,632. The salesman, Jordan Moore, was very young (possibly not even 20), explained that this job would include tearing apart our finished basement to break through the concrete of the entire subfloor and that there was no other option to hit the root cause of the issue. He explained that all other companies would say that a small crack repair would be the solution, but that they were wrong, and then showed lots of pictures of shoddy jobs his competitors had done. He said that 70% of the business Stay Dry does is fixing jobs other companies have messed up, causing families damaging mold to their homes that impact their health. He also shared during this time that we needed to sign up quickly because they were getting booked really far out, and this matter was urgent. Finally, he talked about his own career path, and how he was excited to be moving up in the company, and he drove off in a brand new truck that was top of the line. We moved forward with getting them scheduled (signed a contract on 9/13), because we felt going with someone else would have had negative implications in the long term. We now know that these were predatory practices that we fell for, & would have researched better if we weren’t in a vulnerable place of moving out of state and dealing with so much water damage already. Within 2 weeks (10/3) we decided to have Ohio Basement Authority come out and give another quote because things weren’t sitting right with us. We were told that a flexible crack repair was all that as needed, for $771. The salesperson (Judd Bowers) who had been in the business for most of his career walked us through the predatory practices that Stay Dry utilized and explained with strong reasoning how Stay Dry gave an improper assessment. We called Stay Dry (10/5) and canceled the job. We spoke with Renee at the Marysville location, and she said they wouldn’t charge us the additional fees, but that they would not return the 20% deposit of $3926. She said she tried to talk to her manager, but they told her that was all they could do. The salesperson, Jordan Moore, was also out of town and unable to be contacted for questions. We are finally settled, and able to follow up on this concern by writing reviews about this negative experience, and will also be filing complaints to the Better Business Bureau & the Bureau of Consumer Protection. There’s no reason why our deposit shouldn’t be returned. We were scheduled on a rolling basis, meaning they would fit us in if someone else’s job got canceled. No materials or labor had to be accounted for 2 weeks after saying we wanted to move forward. Their business practices are having a negative impact on families who are genuinely seeking solutions to the water issues within their homes. Do not feel rushed to move forward with them, and absolutely contact Ohio Basement Authority. It’s hard seeing the reviews of some of the people who moved forward with Stay Dry and had a terrible experience.

We had Stay Dry come out to give us an estimate on placing the stay dry system in our basement. We met with Jordan Moore, who informed us that we would be paying $18K to put the system in, and that we would need our contractor to remove the guest bathroom tub, platform, and surround, as well as the plumbing in the area so that the Stay Dry team could do their work. Jordan was specifically asked about whether dry wall would need removed or anything else in our current basement project. We were informed that the Stay Dry team could work under the dry wall that had already been placed, and that nothing needed to be removed from the master bathroom or any other sections of our basement. We had our contractor come out and quote us a price to remove and then replace the guest bathroom items so that we would know the total cost of the entire project. We then made the difficult decision to move forward with having Stay Dry come and place the system. When the Stay Dry team came to do the work, however, they in fact did remove sections of dry wall all around the inside of our basement, as well as took out the platforms for bathtub and shower and plumbing that had already been built in our Master Bath. When our contractor came back out to see the work that had been done, he quoted us an additional $10K would be required to fix the damage that the Stay Dry team had done. Obviously, this additional cost was not in our consideration when we decided to have the Stay Dry system installed. We have contacted the company and heard back from Xavier Kirksey-Ivery, the GM, who refuses to acknowledge any responsibility in this issue and will not remedy the situation. Stay Dry Company cost us $10K worth of damage that they did not include in their initial quote. The salesmen (Basement Inspectors) need to have the correct knowledge before having clients sign a contract. Please be advised before you agree to have this company do work at your house!

I hired this company back in April to install a floor drain system and it is still not adequately done. They did not install the sump pump system in correctly and ruined the laundry sink. The first time they came they did not finish the 3 day job until almost a full 3 weeks later. They were nonresponsive and highly unprofessional. Their team had to come back to fix the job and I AM STILL WAITING ON THE COMPANY TO FINISH THE JOB CORRECTLY AND ITS ALMOST JULY. Save yourselves the trouble, this company does not care about their customers.

We had several companies out to our home and very happy with our decision. Honest and didnt try and over charge us like the other companies. They took care of our mold for free.

Stay Dry was great. On time, very courteous and professional. In fact, the job got completed earlier than what they thought. It was schedule for the end of January and they called and were able to reschedule it to December 22nd.

In all of the 24 years that we've lived in our home, our sump pump never kicked on. We just assumed that it was because it didn't have to because our property is on a hill, but it turns out that it was rusted solid. Also, the water pipes from the downspouts on the west side of the house to the street were clogged with soil and/or roots, and were not draining rain water underground to the street's gutter efficiently, so in a heavy downpour, the excess water was seeping through the concrete blocks of our foundation on that side of the house. Luckily, we discovered water on the floor in our basement before it got to be a major problem, and we scheduled a crew from Stay Dry Waterproofing to install a new sump pump and all new PVC pipes underground. They showed up on Monday morning as promised, and spent several hours tunneling under the mulch beds next to our house and down the hill, and then UNDER the sidewalk to the gutter. They did a good job by returning the top soil dirt back into the trench and the sod back in place. They did poke a small hole in the plastic window well cover with a shovel, but it's no big deal (we sealed it with duct tape, and big flowerpots will cover it in the summer). Joe Basham was very polite & friendly, and he and his crew did an excellent job!

Honest and priced well

I reached out to Stay Dry Waterproofing for a quote on waterproofing my basement. They told me (as did other companies) that I needed to put a gutter system in my basement to alleviate pressure on the foundation and prevent future water damage. The sales team and inspector were very knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt when answering my requests. I did not go with this company because the price to do the work was almost double what the other two companies quoted me. This is also why I am giving them a "C'" rating.

The entire experience was seamless. From the estimate by the owner Mark Minton, to the completion of the work by Nate and his crew. Nate answered all questions thoroughly and the job was finished on time with no disruption to my normal routine.

This company has replaced my sump pump, installed a driveway grate and replaced the main service lines. They have done good work, comes with a warranty, and prices were very fair. Good value for the money, owner runs a great business with knowledgeable employees. They are fast and clean with all their work! Highly recommend.

Mark and his company were very professional, the crew knocked out the job in one day and the foreman kept me updated the whole way! Would highly recommend this company to anyone that needs work done!

It id not go. They did call and scheduled an appointment but never showed up and never called to apologive and/or reschedule. Not professional at all. Sent them an email saying the same and still did not hear back.

Crew did an excellent job. They arrived on time (if not a little early) and worked hard digging outside to get to the area of the foundation that needed repair to a couple of small cracks. They did identify the main source of water intrusion around the window area and made sure they fixed it properly. They waterproofed the window area and a large section of the exposed foundation to make sure they had maximum coverage to stop any water intrusion. Haven't had any problems since then.
