Did a good job grading, laid a thick, sturdy base, and then a 3" compacted asphalt. Paid special attention to the edges. Driveway looks beautiful, and we've been happy. "We hired Well's to pave a parking area and long driveway. They showed up when promised and did high quality work. Before the job, we decided we wanted a couple additions to the initial proposal and the extra charge they suggested was more than fair. We were especially pleased when the prep work ripped up a wire just inches below the surface that I had forgotten about. Someone came and got me and together we traced out what the wire was for (a lead to a sub surface array of ground rods). The crew switched to preping another area while one of the guys helped me install a replacement wire. They could have just shrugged off finding a single buried wire but they did not."

"Mission Impossible (transforming an overgrown narrow, rutted, rooty dirt path into a gorgeous 3-ft.-wide edged stone walkway with a small patio and entryway) is complete, and we could not be happier. The installation makes a design statement without in any way overwhelming our 1876 farmhouse—the stone is incredible, the work is artful and solid, and the project seems to grow out of the landscape, exactly what we wanted. The artistry and attention to detail in choosing/placing the stones elevates the installation to something truly special. "We have a VERY long driveway and it has been gravel (barely) for the decade or so that we've owned the house. Started getting quotes for paving it, and was shocked that they were coming in at $3 per square foot (as a previous reviewer noted). From research, I knew it should be $2/sf, so we kept looking. Saw a beautiful newly-paved driveway nearby. That homeowner put us in touch with Rich Stanley, the third generation owner of this paving company. Rich came in at the right price and with a great can-do attitude. Took almost two full days to complete, but it is a work of great beauty. Smooth, wide, level -- our drive now looks like a gorgeous country lane. It was worth the wait to find the right company.  
Another reviewer was unhappy that Rich did not honor the 5% advertised discount. 5% of our bill would have been a lot of money, and since he was already giving us such a fair deal I didn't request that. What I did request was a couple of extras... a rounded turnaround instead of square.. a special "parking pad" for the trash cans... and another slight turnaround area to the side. Rich and crew happily accommodated.  A+ service.  Can't recommend them highly enough.
