I had about a 2 foot slope of land under the patio and a large slope for the path and step area. This work was done by 4 guys over two hot July days. The bobcat helped dig and rough level it. A lot of material was moved around along with at least 4 pallets of pavers and the blocks for the steps. To finish it off, they put down top soil, grass seed and hay was placed down to finish the job off very well.

Mike Sheehan responded to my inquiry on Angie's List. He came for an estimate on June 11 . The work started on June 27 and was finished on June 28. There were 3 workers working nonstop for 2 days. The old steps were taken off and the stone steps were put on. They really give a new look to the house. My neighbors gave me complements on the work.

Mike from MFS Masonry has an excellent staff. Very professional, excellent workmanship. I couldn't be happier. Mike stopped by from time to time but his crew didn't need to be monitored. They are hardworking and punctual. My patio, sidewalks and stairs are beautiful. Everything in the work area was put back to rights, grass seed was applied, even mulch. No small item was left undone. If I need more work like this in the future, that is the company I will hire. Another impressing note, when Mike first came to give me an estimate, he had samples of the pavers in his truck. I didn't have to look at a book and try to imagine it. I could see the items. And once he listened to what I was interested in doing he provided me with suggestions based on his experience. Win-win.

Mike and his crew did an excellent job with the patio that was installed around the pool and the walkway leading to the deck stairs. They completed all of the work in the time that was estimated. Mike answered any and all questions along the way and was receptive to my ideas as well. He provided his expert knowledge in planning and designing the entire job, but also provided feedback to our ideas. Mike was always accessible before, during, and after the job was completed. His crew completed very nice finishing touches to make the job look even better than we had expected. Highly recommended.

This is a long overdue review and brought to my attention by Mike when he requested a review for a retaining wall just completed. Three years ago MFS Masonry reconstructed our pool deck and pool area. I did not know what exactly I wanted except that I wanted it to look great. He has such experience that he was able to suggest a lovely plan for the deck to surround our 16 by 32 in ground pool and river rock for landscaping. His crew worked tirelessly breaking up and removing concrete, shaping and reinforcing for the new concrete deck, and making it look perfect. They were prompt and respectful of our property and completed the job in two or three days. More to point, that pool job was the third time they did a job for us. Can't recommend them enough.

There was no charge. They are very clear. The estimate was well laid out. He explained exactly what he was going to do and was pleasant to deal with. They could probably improve their pricing.

It went well. Price seemed reasonable, and work commenced only a few days after the first payment. The whole job took about a week. The large boulder proved difficult, but the workers managed to clear it with a jackhammer. A reasonable fee was negotiated for this. one week later, we had our new pool patio, wall, and steps. Our front roof downspout was re-routed around the pool and a U-drain was installed to direct runoff from the patio away from the house. Everything was done as agreed and Mr. Sheehan was very responsive.

Mike and his crew did an amazing job, started right away and were done in 7 days. It was no small feat, as an almost 14' retainind wall was built. Then it was back filled to provide a level surface to install a patio of Cambridge pavers (Mocha and Ebony border) Which look amazing. Mike's crew arrived each day and worked steadily until the job was done. Once they were done, the clean up was so complete you wouldn't know they were there. We will use Mike on all our future projects.

I acquired services from Mike Sheehan owner of MFS MASONRY for front entrance steps and planters. Prior to contracting Mike he explained his products in details with expected transitions that will occur. Mike gave me ample time to make a decision without pressure. No more to be said Mike was hired. Six months later I am very pleased with the results and gratified that I made an accurate decision because my home looks beautiful. MFS MASONRY provided exceptional service employees were committed and trustworthy professionals who are definitely a great representation of the business.

We had a general idea of what we wanted, but it was Mike who came up with a creative and cost effective design for the steps to our front entryway. And then he and his crew built it beautifully. Although the work was done about 3 years ago, I still get compliments on it. Here’s what I recall about the process: • Mike was very careful about the underlying structure, clearly building it to last (my husband is an architect and was impressed). • Mike went out of his way to get me the exact color stone I wanted, which wasn’t easy to find locally • We really liked his crew, who worked long and hard every day to get the project done on time. Even today, I marvel at how well they pieced the stone together, how good it looks and how well it has held up. Can’t wait until I have the funds to hire MFS again -- for a walkway and patio.

Mike is a great guy and I recommend anyone that's planning on doing any landscaping work to start with Mike. He is honest, understanding, funny, professional, and most importantly him and his crew do a great job. The finished patio turned out great and today 1 year after he put in the patio we still love it and it still looks the same since it was initially installed.

Hired MFS to replace a long concrete walk, 2 retaining walls and our front steps. From day one Mike was an utmost professional. We were undecided on what we actually wanted and he met with us multiple times and took multiple phone calls from us to answer questions we had so we would be happy with our decision. We were worried that the estimates would change as I've seen with other contractors but Mike stuck to his numbers from the beginning and when he said everything included he meant it. When they were done with the job, the site was cleaner than when they started. Mike even followed up after the project was completed to insure we were happy.  We were extremely impressed by the knowledge and craftsmanship of him and his staff. We are thrilled with all that was done and are already planning other projects to have them complete at a later date. 

I would hire MFS again in a heartbeat...and I plan to. After they built the patio, we also had them replace our cement walkway in the front of our house with beautiful pavers and had them replace a wood stoop in the backyard to match the back patio. Next comes the pool patio! The work they do is superb and we completely trust Mike's knowledge of the products he works with. In fact, we ended up changing our original color choice and went with his suggestion...and we are absolutely thrilled! You just can't put a price tag on his years of experience. His hands-on expertise, along with his crew's, is top-notch--he has an excellent reputation for a reason. This is the company you want to work with, whether it's a small job or a big one.

It went really well. Mike was able to fit us in before Memorial Day so we could use our pool early in the season. Mike and his team do excellent work.
