So we then asked Doug if he’d work with us to completely redesign the bathroom and kitchen in one of our favorite, furnished 1-bedroom apartments in our 1906 Claude Bragdon-designed mansion on East Avenue where we are owner occupants. He drafted an exciting and very ambitious, luxurious, & upscale design integrating our requests/ideas into the plan. We loved it, signed, and stopped renting mid-February to get started. The kitchen and bath was sensitively gutted, renovated as Doug designed, with care and appreciation for an historic property, modifications as needed in an historic home, and with great consideration for our tenants living above and below this apartment. We were absolutely thrilled with the process, Doug’s enthusiastic and experienced eye for design suggestions, and the gorgeous results, and so are our tenants!!
