"I called P & A Sewer and Drain to replace the toilet flange and to unclog the kitchen sink. The plumber did an excellent job, paying close attention to detail and he left the work areas spotless. If you're looking for an honest plumber with very reasonable rates, I highly recommend calling P & A Sewer and Drain."

Small jobs welcome

"Very well. I was able to get an appointment a day after I called. The dispatcher kept me well informed about when to expect the team. The plumber and his assistant were prompt, courteous, and informative. They quickly assessed the situation and gave me a firm price for the work, to which I agreed. They performed the work quickly and efficiently, and gave me clear instructions for the one remaining item I needed to get and install (because I'd wanted the work done immediately and at a reduced price, there was one electrical component they didn't have so I decided to get and do the minor installation of that piece myself). NOTE: price below includes all parts and taxes"

Mr Junior, Jamoy and Isaiah addressed our coop’s drain assessment and repairs fully while onsite as well as over the phone with myself and another coop board member with patience and attention. "Company was responsive, and provided a quote over the phone after describing the issue and sending photos. The plumber came promptly within the time slot promised. He was polite, removed his shoes, went right to work, removing pull out cabinetry as needed to replace leaky pipe fixtures. He replaced everything as he found it. Highly recommend."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Several signs can tip you off to a clogged dishwasher drain. At first, you may notice that it’s taking longer than usual for the dishwasher to drain, or you may hear gurgling sounds during the draining part of the cycle. You might also notice water backing up into your sink or excess food at the bottom of the dishwasher after a load. The most obvious sign, though, is seeing standing water at the bottom of your dishwasher after the cycle has finished.

In most areas, drain cleaning professionals don’t technically need a license, as they aren’t altering your plumbing system in any way. However, we recommend hiring a drain cleaning professional with a plumbing license and certification. Certified plumbers are more likely to provide professional solutions to drain clogs without damaging your system. They’ll also have the diagnostic tools and experience necessary to remove the clog entirely rather than providing a temporary solution, as a handyperson might. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your plumber’s professional licenses before hiring.

If your dishwasher keeps filling with water at the bottom but doesn’t fill into the sink, the issue is likely due to a blockage within the dishwasher or drain. Regularly clean your dishwasher filter basket to ensure it’s not clogged with food, and run a vinegar rinse periodically if you have hard water to remove limescale buildup.

Yes, you can use vinegar to unclog a dishwasher. To do so, combine 4 tablespoons of white vinegar with 4 tablespoons of baking soda and pour the mixture down your dishwasher’s drain. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then pour a cup of hot water down the drain to flush everything out. Finally, run a rinse cycle on your dishwasher to see if the clog is gone.

Most commercial liquid drain cleaners work in 15 to 30 minutes. Consult the label on the bottle for additional instructions or time suggestions to prevent damage to your drainpipes. Alternative solutions such as baking soda, salt, white vinegar, and/or boiling water can take longer since they are less harsh than liquid drain cleaners.
