"Round 2 2/14/23 Round 3 2/28/23 This morning they came back, and now it's something else. I'm not sure how. The tech advised me last time that they were to order a weight, screws, and a tub. Today, the tech came with only the screws and the weight, no tub. Then he tells my husband it's the tub. Why was this not ordered when I was informed it would be? So now, 45 days with no washer. I don't understand how you tell someone you plan to do something, and you don't. How do you run a business? I have filed a third-party complaint with RC Wiley, and I filed a BBB report they are listed as a F business anyways for not responding to complaints. This is ridiculous. With all that said and done, you billed RC Wiley 1200 this afternoon, the cost of a brand-new washer. Instead, you billed them three times for service calls and then sent a huge bill which you knew would prompt them to replace my washer. This should have been done the first time you came. Horrible service and practice. RC Wiley informed me for next time just tell them not to use Buy Rite for services and they will use someone else."

Lowe’s has been helping our customers improve the places they call home for more than 60 years. Founded in 1946, Lowe’s has grown from a small hardware store to the second-largest home improvement retailer worldwide. Our story began in North Carolina, when Carl Buchan, part owner of the North Wilkesboro Hardware Company, envisioned creating a chain of hardware stores. He purchased the company from his brother-in-law and partner and had the foresight to anticipate a post-World War II building boom. By eliminating wholesalers and dealing directly with manufacturers, Lowe’s established a lasting reputation for low prices. Sales grew over time and we expanded all across the country and now operate stores not only in the United States, but also in Canada and Mexico. Although times have changed since Lowe’s first opened its doors in 1946, Lowe’s values have not— the company remains committed to offering high-quality home improvement products at everyday low prices, while delivering superior customer service.

"Called Home Advisors to get a 48" range hood installed and was handed off to Best Buys Geek Squad. Told they would be here on Monday. Later they rescheduled to Wednesday, so I took the day off to assist with the install. On Wednesday, Marty called to say he was on the way and I said, the operator said you would be sending two guys and he said no, it was only one. I told him it was a large, heavy range hood and would take at least two guys. He said, okay I have two guys and we are on the way. He then called back and asked where I had purchased the range hood and I told him - and he said they only install items purchased from Best Buys, Good Bye. Contacted Home Advisors again to find another installer, specifically requesting not to be sent to Geek Squad. Again I was sent to Geek Squad. The guy receiving my call assured me the installer was wrong and Geek Squad will do the install, put me in the endless phone loop and once again the installers said they do not install items not purchased at Best Buys unless you have a special tech support package. Put me in another endless phone loop to get my payment back and after ten minutes the recorded voice asked me what I was holding for and hung up. I then called Angies List to find an installer and Angies List directed me to the same freakin' Geek Squad. Do not deal with them. They are totally confused and will waste your life, Angies List must quit referring people to them, they will not install unless you bought it from Best Buys or have a Super Tech Support package."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

A decade plus of normal wear and tear combined with heavy cookware usage are the most common reasons glass stove tops break. The glass can also break from sudden temperature changes, including dramatic shifts in the local climate. Manufacturer defects and poor quality control are rarer causes of cracks, but they do occur.

Many modern appliance brands make small appliances meant to be replaced rather than repaired, but companies like LG®, GE®, Maytag®, Kitchenaid®, and Whirlpool® stand out as high-quality brands with repairable products. Many of these companies even employ technicians who repair large and small appliances alike, and manufacture replacement parts to make repairs easier. If you’re unsure if it’s best to repair or replace your appliance, ask a professional appliance technician about the brand and specific model.

Most local governments classify microwaves as hazardous household electronic waste items that are bad for the environment. This is why you could receive a fine for improperly disposing of a microwave in your normal curbside garbage collection or a landfill. Often, state law requires the hazardous components to be removed and safely disposed of before the item is recycled as scrap metal.

Regular cleaning, checking burners for clogs, and avoiding excessive grease buildup help maintain performance.

While many junk haulers have restrictions on taking hazardous materials, most will be able to take appliances that use refrigerants, like refrigerators and air conditioners. Always check with the junk removal company first to find out if there are extra fees or preparation steps for removing appliances that use refrigerants.
