"The old peeling painted surfaces were expertly and seamlessly repaired. Shai's workman was an artist, hand-mixing the materials to match exactly the old surfaces, so it all looks like new. The water damage was a longer and more complicated process, involving assessment of water still within the wall (yes), asbestos testing ( positive), and abatement, all before Above & Beyond could start work. When they did, it went as smoothly as possible:The men moved all my bedroom furniture, which includes heavy 250-year-old chests, took down 10-foot-tall curtains and pelmets: scraped and evened out the cement floor, adding a coat of cement, replacing insulation and drywall, installing LVT flooring, and painting. Then they replaced all the furniture. Shai, himself, is professional, experienced, and knowledgeable. These traits filter down to his crews. Everything went as he said, on schedule, with no drama and no fuss. Moreover, when the insurance company was slow in sending the check, he was very understanding, and assured me he would hold my credit card information until the check came in. I cannot praise this company, and the owner, highly enough. Both experiences with them have been a real pleasure - even with my bedroom sitting in the rest of the house! Shai's quiet competence and managerial abilities filter down to his work crew, making everything transparent, smoothly predictable, and very well done. I have had one service call for them to return and address a few leaks that had been the result of offsite manufacturing. The leak was minimal and they fixed it without any problems.
