"We hired Antonio about 2 years ago. His work was fine, but he was inconsistent in his communication, and unreliable about showing up when he said he would. He also refused to out us on a regular schedule, and instructed us to just call him, but then he did not return calls. We ended up hiring another company. This morning he was doing work for a neighbor at 7:30 a.m., and blocking our shared 1-lane road. I asked if he could pull his truck over so I could pass, and he was rude and dismissive. My husband came out and Antonio (the owner) became aggressive with him and screamed â  just go around!â  (There absolutely was not room). This person is unprofessIonal, rude, and aggressive."

Yes, a cubic yard of dirt will fit in most standard-size pickup trucks. However, consider the truck’s payload as well as the truck bed dimensions before loading it up with dirt. Soil can be quite heavy, and if the total weight of a yard of dirt exceeds your truck’s payload capacity, you risk damaging the chassis and suspension.

While you can put gravel directly on dirt, it won’t be very stable. It also won’t block out any weeds. Most experts recommend layering weed barrier and a layer of packed sand or other foundation material to prevent the gravel from sinking into the earth and being overtaken by weeds.
