"The old peeling painted surfaces were expertly and seamlessly repaired. Shai's workman was an artist, hand-mixing the materials to match exactly the old surfaces, so it all looks like new. The water damage was a longer and more complicated process, involving assessment of water still within the wall (yes), asbestos testing ( positive), and abatement, all before Above & Beyond could start work. When they did, it went as smoothly as possible:The men moved all my bedroom furniture, which includes heavy 250-year-old chests, took down 10-foot-tall curtains and pelmets: scraped and evened out the cement floor, adding a coat of cement, replacing insulation and drywall, installing LVT flooring, and painting.
