"Last spring, when the forest service cleared our land, we noticed the side of our mountain had been eroding over the years. So much so that the porch was sinking. After 5 contractors came to check it out, devised a plan, and then deserted the project, A and E Construction saved the day! Mr. Alan Garcia and his team were highly professional and dependable. A and E built a multi-layered railroad tie retaining wall for support that also improved the aesthetics of our home. Mr. Garcia worked with our vision and made it happen. Many thanks to A and E!"

"

Paid for this through Angie's List and forgot about it.  I've gotten spoiled by providers contacting me and this business never did.

So the upshot is that the company might be fine, but the downside is that I paid for services I never received.

Honestly, I wasn't going to write a review at all except for the annoying popup thing that keeps asking about my experience.

So I'd go for other people's reviews to get a more realistic sense of what this company's about.

"I work for a construction cost data company and deal with a lot of contractors in my work. I've also renovated 6 homes and have had a lot of contractor experience there as well. I can truly AC&R are simply the best contractors I have ever worked with. I can be a very hard customer to please and so I got 5 estimates on removing a package unit (AC/Heat) from my backyard and putting a new furnace in my crawl space. One guy who came to estimate the job said "Some jobs you walk away from. I'm running away from this job!" Seriously. I actually had Gabe and Dustin from AC&R to my house twice just to make sure they hadn't missed anything on the original quote. They were extremely professional, courteous and helpful in their suggestions. They weren't the cheapest estimate, but the weren't even close to the highest and they just seemed to be very honest so we hired them. They came back with an installation supervisor the day before the scheduled install and went over everything in detail. Then the best part came - our installers Tony and Benny spent three full days dismantling my old system and installing the new one. They too were very professional, neat, courteous and super nice to my dog. Two electricians also spent half a day here on the third day and all of them stuck around for the startup and testing. The Rheem furnace they installed is working great and is super quiet. I could not be happier. Do not hesitate for a second to call AC&R!"

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

After a land survey in Albuquerque, it's wise to periodically check that survey monuments remain undisturbed, especially after construction or heavy rain. The New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors advises homeowners to keep certified copies of all survey plats and legal descriptions. If you plan future improvements, consult your original surveyor to ensure property lines and easements remain accurate and up to date.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, most residential land surveys are completed within one to four weeks, depending on property size, terrain, and the need for historical deed research. Projects near the Rio Grande or in older neighborhoods may require extra time due to complex boundary histories. The City of Albuquerque Planning Department recommends scheduling early, especially during peak seasons, to avoid delays related to permit processing or weather.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, unexpected land surveying costs can include additional research for unclear property boundaries, monument restoration fees, and charges for utility locates if underground lines are present. Properties near acequias or historic districts may require specialized mapping or coordination with the Albuquerque Historic Preservation Division. Always request a detailed estimate and discuss potential extra fees with your licensed surveyor before work begins.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, homeowners sometimes overlook the need for a current survey before building or assume old fence lines are accurate boundaries. Failing to check for recorded easements or encroachments, especially in neighborhoods with irrigation ditches or shared driveways, can lead to disputes. According to the City of Albuquerque Planning Department, always hire a licensed surveyor and review all property records to avoid costly errors and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, land surveying projects often require a right-of-way permit from the City of Albuquerque Planning Department for any work impacting public property or streets. If your survey involves excavation or setting permanent markers, you may also need an excavation permit. For professional compliance, surveyors must be licensed by the New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. Always verify requirements with these authorities before starting your project.
