"Last spring, when the forest service cleared our land, we noticed the side of our mountain had been eroding over the years. So much so that the porch was sinking. After 5 contractors came to check it out, devised a plan, and then deserted the project, A and E Construction saved the day! Mr. Alan Garcia and his team were highly professional and dependable. A and E built a multi-layered railroad tie retaining wall for support that also improved the aesthetics of our home. Mr. Garcia worked with our vision and made it happen. Many thanks to A and E!"

"

Paid for this through Angie's List and forgot about it.  I've gotten spoiled by providers contacting me and this business never did.

So the upshot is that the company might be fine, but the downside is that I paid for services I never received.

Honestly, I wasn't going to write a review at all except for the annoying popup thing that keeps asking about my experience.

So I'd go for other people's reviews to get a more realistic sense of what this company's about.

"I work for a construction cost data company and deal with a lot of contractors in my work. I've also renovated 6 homes and have had a lot of contractor experience there as well. I can truly AC&R are simply the best contractors I have ever worked with. I can be a very hard customer to please and so I got 5 estimates on removing a package unit (AC/Heat) from my backyard and putting a new furnace in my crawl space. One guy who came to estimate the job said "Some jobs you walk away from. I'm running away from this job!" Seriously. I actually had Gabe and Dustin from AC&R to my house twice just to make sure they hadn't missed anything on the original quote. They were extremely professional, courteous and helpful in their suggestions. They weren't the cheapest estimate, but the weren't even close to the highest and they just seemed to be very honest so we hired them. They came back with an installation supervisor the day before the scheduled install and went over everything in detail. Then the best part came - our installers Tony and Benny spent three full days dismantling my old system and installing the new one. They too were very professional, neat, courteous and super nice to my dog. Two electricians also spent half a day here on the third day and all of them stuck around for the startup and testing. The Rheem furnace they installed is working great and is super quiet. I could not be happier. Do not hesitate for a second to call AC&R!"

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Rio Rancho often overlook reviewing updated subdivision maps or assume existing fences are accurate boundaries. Failing to check for hidden utility easements or not discussing plans with adjacent property owners can cause disputes. Skipping a pre-survey walk-through or neglecting to clarify surveyor responsibilities may also lead to confusion or delays in your property survey project.

Helpful?

Unique features in Rio Rancho, like multi-level adobe homes, detached garages, or extensive xeriscaping, can complicate land surveying. Properties on sloped lots, near arroyos, or with dense vegetation may require extra time for accurate measurements. Limited access due to gated entries or overhead utility lines can also present challenges, so consult a local surveyor if your property has any of these characteristics.

Helpful?

Signs that your land surveying work may need to be redone in Rio Rancho include unclear or missing property corners, visible gaps between your fence and the surveyed boundary, or new disputes with neighbors over lot lines. If you notice mismatched measurements on your property documents, recent changes to flood zones, or issues with utility access, it’s wise to consider a fresh property survey.

Helpful?

When hiring a land surveying professional in Rio Rancho, prioritize those with experience handling local soil conditions and subdivision layouts. Make sure they’re familiar with water rights and zoning rules unique to the area. Ask about their use of modern surveying technology, request recent project references, and clarify how they handle communication about boundary adjustments or potential easement issues.

Helpful?

Land surveying in Rio Rancho should include detailed mapping of setbacks, drainage, and underground utilities to support future projects. Request a digital copy of your survey for easy updates as your property evolves. Make sure all easements and right-of-way areas are clearly marked, so you can confidently plan additions like garages, pools, or landscaping within local land use regulations.
