"We hired Century Masonry & Waterproofing several years ago after suffering through several flooded basements. At a time when some contractors are out there trying to sell unnecessary services and products, Sean is an honest, consultative, helpful professional. He was able to identify problems with our existing sump pit and corrected them. He also identified the fact that the sump pit was not in the lowest point of our foundation and installed a second sump pit and pump there. Thankfully, and knock on wood, we haven't had an issue in years. Thank you Sean and Century Masonry & Waterproofing!"
"Our experience with BQ Basements was top notch during the whole process, from our initial estimate call all the way through installation. Harry, the Sales Associate, fully explained the entire process in a way we could understand, and patiently answered all of our many questions. He provided great research material, and was always very responsive to our calls and emails, while we decided on the direction of our project. Ryan, our Project Foreman, and his crew were incredible from start to finish. They were the consummate professionals--on time everyday of the project, respectful of our property, and left our property cleaner than they found it. Ryan took great care to make sure we understood every step of the process, frequently asking us to inspect their work. When something was damaged during the demolition part of the project (as accidents are bound to happen during these kinds of projects), he swiftly took ownership and fixed the problem immediately. We couldn't be happier with the service we received from BQ, Harry and Ryan, and will wholeheartedly recommend them to others (in fact, I already have!)."
"OUTSTANDING! This company is so honest and leads with great integrity that the inspector Tony identified the root cause of where our water was leaking into our basement and said we may not need to install French drains which would have cost us about $4,000. Our previous owner drilled holes into our sidewalk outside of fireplace that leads to our basement for termite treatment. The cement covering holes eroded and water was leaking into the basement. We covered the holes with cement 2 days ago and with this passing rain not one drop of water is in the basement. We've had three other basement waterproofing companies come to her house and no one noticed it except for blue umbrella waterproofing. The owner even took the time to call me to ask how the inspection went. This is the only company I would use in the future."
"Mike and his team not only waterproofed my basement he provided one stop shopping by bringing in a contractor to repair the drywall and install a new laminated floor. The work was outstanding and completely transformed my basement into a beautiful functional part of my home. I highly recommend them!"
"They did my driveway, they opened up the cracked lines, filled them up and rolled it with their tide on roller (its not a small hand roller), they laid the material carefully made all the proper adjustments for water aiming out of the driveway, i have witnessed them using even over 4â of thicknesses for water flowing. I believe they did a good job and Roca is a friendly guy! His price was better than most ( the only competitor who offered similar pricing offered 2â !black top without breaking and fixing the cracks, he offered 4 inches material and actually fixing the cracks before he put the top) i will continue using his other services in the future!"
"We had 2 foundation cracks running from corner of basement window to the floor. Their recommendation was not to just fill in the cracks, as others suggested, but to also reinforce the structural integrity of the foundation with a solid steel plate bolted over the repaired crack. That approach made much more sense to me than the other recommendations I'd received. I hired them and they were onsite within 2 days and completed all work in a single day. We've since had excessive rain and the repairs have held up and the basement is still dry."
"On Time. Professional service of cleaning roof, cleaning gutter, installing new gutter guard, repair of roof. Cleaning of everything after work done. I recommend this service"
"Excellent price and work from this company! I needed an emergency repair as we were redoing our deck at the time. Mel had the crew out here next day to complete the work. Fantastic response time and company will gladly use again! Canâ t recommend them enough."
You can strengthen a weak foundation using a few different foundation repair methods, including underpinning, slab jacking, foam jacking, installing carbon fiber support strips, or using a sealant or epoxy crack injection. It’s worth noting that the best way to strengthen your foundation permanently is to fix the underlying issue first and then use a permanent solution to reinforce it. If you’re unsure who to call for foundation repairs, a foundation repair contractor or structural engineer can help find the best solution for your home.
Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.
There are many actions that specialists can take to repair a bad foundation. However, just like a car, a specialist will determine whether the cost of repairs is worth it in the long run. In many cases, repairs to the surrounding property—such as regrading your lawn or addressing lawn drainage issues—will also be necessary.
If your concrete steps have crumbled or chipped, you can fix them by removing any chips or flakes, cleaning and wetting the affected area, applying a concrete bonding agent, and finally applying new concrete, usually in the form of Portland cement. For widespread damage, you can consider concrete resurfacing instead. For fixing concrete spalling that has led to deep damage, you might need to remove damaged material, add structural supports, and pour new concrete into a mold.
