"From start to finish, Kevin and his crew are the best in the business. Very thorough communication and seeing things through to the end. Kevin is very attentive to concerns and very reassuring. Nobody in this company’s line of work could possibly match what drain services has going on. They have a great culture. Strongly recommend."

"He was awesome.  He called back, but he was working in Reed field, North Carolina and he could not get to us for a couple of days.  By the time, he got to us we had already gotten the other estimates, and we were pleased with him.  Hampton guy was great.  He was really quick to get back to us, but he had other projects that he had already lined up.  The experience was very satisfactory.  He was very courteous, and prompt.  He was very honest in saying that he cannot get to us, and if we needed to have this work done now, then we need to have to get somebody else.  I appreciated that."

Foundation Repair questions, answered by experts

In Fargo, choose contractors with proven expertise in local soil movement and foundation settlement issues. Look for detailed project plans addressing drainage, waterproofing, and seasonal scheduling. Ask for references from recent projects in your neighborhood and confirm they offer a long-term, transferable warranty. Avoid contractors who rush your decision or provide unclear repair methods, as transparency and local experience are crucial for lasting results.

Helpful?

In Fargo, if you notice diagonal cracks reappearing near windows or doors, uneven settling in rooms previously repaired, or water intrusion after heavy rain, these are signs repairs may have failed. Shifting soil or frost heave can cause foundation settlement even after repairs. If seasonal changes bring back sticking doors or visible gaps, it’s wise to have a professional reassess the structural stability of your foundation.

Helpful?

For Fargo’s climate, use air-entrained concrete for freeze-thaw durability, and fiber-reinforced mixes to resist cracking. Galvanized steel piers or helical piers are ideal for stabilizing shifting soils. Apply silane/siloxane sealers to protect masonry, and use bentonite clay or rubberized membranes for waterproofing. Closed-cell spray foam insulation helps prevent moisture intrusion and supports long-term structural integrity in ND’s variable weather.

Helpful?

Fargo’s freeze-thaw cycles and clay-rich soils lead to significant soil movement, which can cause foundation settlement and cracking. Repairs must extend below the frost line to prevent frost heave. Spring thaw and summer storms can saturate soil, so drainage improvements are essential. Scheduling repairs between late spring and early fall helps ensure materials cure properly and minimizes weather-related delays or complications.

Helpful?

In Fargo, homes with irregular floor plans, multiple additions, or split-level construction often complicate foundation repair due to limited access and varying foundation depths. Finished basements, utilities routed along foundation walls, and mature landscaping can restrict equipment movement. If your property has heavy concrete patios or retaining walls close to the foundation, expect specialized solutions to maintain structural integrity and minimize disruption during repairs.
