They … More 1 After a hail storm in Bismarck, our insurance agent brought in Hancock construction from West Fargo to look at our roof. Riley, the owner, sold us an upgraded shingle package for $2000 more. We signed a contract for him for the upgraded Northgate shingles. When Hancock construction replaced the shingles on our roof it was Friday Sept. 16th and Riley needed to leave the site early to get back to Fargo. He said he would be back to Bismarck after the weekend to walk our property with us to inspect the work and how his crew cleaned up. He never showed up and we did not hear from him until way later. He then stated that no news, must mean good news as far as how the work looked and how his crew left our property. We had paid him $15000 of the $20,600 after the work on Sept. 16th was done because he also promised to do our siding that was damaged as well. He was going to get to that in a couple of weeks and then we would take care of paying the rest of the balance. He never showed and did not do our siding. Instead, we got an invoice for the rest of the payment October 13th. Also, in that signed contract was the promise of a 3 yr workmanship warranty and a Certainteed warranty. My husband contacted Riley several times to get the warranty information and was told it would be sent by his employee, Ray, though email. The information was never received by our email. Certainteed did send us a certificate in December stating that we had a warranty for Landmark Climateflex shingles and not for the upgraded Northgate shingles our signed contract stated our $2000 was going to get us. We looked back at the October 13th invoice that was sent after our initial $15000 payment and saw that we were charged for Landmark shingles for the price of the upgraded Northgate shingles. We contacted Certainteed to try to straighten it out. We contacted Riley as well. We have yet to hear from him. Certainteed has not heard from him as well. We still have no paperwork for the 3 year workmanship warranty. We ended up having a leak in our ceiling after installation. My husband contacted Riley to let him know about the leak. Riley promised to make it right and stated he would come out. He then cancelled and told us he had vehicle trouble and could not make it. He stated he would be out to see us after the weekend. He never showed and did not contact us about it again. We do not know if this was a bait and switch situation yet or not as far as the shingles. We are still trying to get this taken care of, but with the excuses, not following through and no contact, we are worried it is a possibility. Riley had told us in the beginning that he is looking to expand his business in Bismarck. After our experience with him, stay in Fargo. It looks like you treat your customers better there.

They are really good, very timely, very understanding and do follow-up. Will definitely hire them again.
