Long story short, Comfort First, beginning with Renee, the sales rep. to the installers (Ricky, Clay, and Cody) were prompt, friendly, and ready to answer any question with with obvious knowledge of their product and business. The entire system was installed within the timeframe they had promised and is working wonderfully. We couldn't be happier with both the Amana system, and Comfort First for their expertise.

Called one repairman who just didn't bother showing up. Called another who did show up and told me that I would need a $250 motor replacement. At this point I decided I was going to have to do battle with GE, but I knew that if I contacted them the first thing they would ask would be whether a GE-certified technician had looked at it so I thought I was contacting GE repair just as a formality. Went online and scheduled the appointment. He showed up on time--very nice guy, professional, etc. Had the dryer fixed in about 1 minute. Explained what happened and told me how to fix it if it ever happened again. I had agreed to pay a $90 service call when I scheduled it, but he looked at my record and said that this was close enough to my warranty period that he'd just put the call under warranty service, so there was no charge. Can't beat that.

Both the ladies in the office when trying to locate the dispatch from the warranty service, and the technician who serviced our unit were polite and helpful. I had read bad reviews about going through a warranty service like we had, but we couldn't afford not to at that point, especially if the unit needed replacing. Thankfully, Air Serv proved to be a good decision and worked out very well for us.
And I think I've found a company I can work with in the future for our home maintenance on the HVAC systems.
Thank you.

When our heat went out on a weekend night, they were unable to locate a contractor to fix the problem, so they authorized me to locate one. I was fortunate to be able to get hold of 72 Degrees. They sent someone within hours of my call, he diagnosed the problem, contacted AHS for approval of the repair, and then made the repair. I had heat again in a few minutes - it was a blown fuse in the air handler. The technician they sent was a local man named Kenna.
A few weeks later, the same thing happened; no heat on a weekend. I contacted 72 Degrees and soon they sent out a tech. This time the problem was the fan on the heat pump. This would be a several hundred dollar problem. The technician, Curtis, contacted the manufacturer and found that it was still under warranty. He was able to replace the fan and charged only for the labor.
Both Kenna and Curtis were very helpful in working with the home warranty company and explaining to them what was going on so that AHS would approve and pay for the work.
I would definitely recommend 72 Degrees for any heating or AC issues.

They returned when we had a gutter clog (warranty was for this problem is in writing) in the first month.
When we called AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, they told us they would come (with a charge each time)
and they never showed up or called.
Because the birds kept making nests in the gutters, caused by incorrect installation, and we started
experiencing damage to our home, we had to have the gutter caps removed at our own expense.
When we asked the state to get involved, they THEN called. FIVE YEARS after first installation.
The address given is not their correct address. We went there and the unit listed is used by another company.

Horrible experience! Called my home warranty that assigned them to me and asked that we never be assigned this company again. The technician was polite and professional, but what he told me and what he told the home warranty company were two different things, so now my home warranty won’t...
Very responsive, came out on a Sunday, thoroughly investigated a leak that 2 other plumbers didn't find, and explained the problem and needed repairs - not only to us - but to the Home Warranty company as well. Professional and proficient.
We just purchased a new home and we knew up front that the heating system was old and outdated, and about 30 years old. We did a lot of research comparing systems, and installers. Comfort First immediately got our attention. We had first thought we would go with a Trane, but the Amana...

"Felt rushed to approve the work and pay the balance. Discovered multiple issues later. Just inside the door there's a rock they missed, so now it's under the plastic, which will sooner or later puncture through. I asked for a better door than the one the first installed, but the second was also poorly made and didn't come close to sealing. Called/talked to someone about the issues, but afterward they stopped returning my calls. They also left lots of debris on the ground. The inspection didn't pass for multiple reasons. Waiting for them to come back and address the issues the inspector found. Update: THBS did follow up and fix the issues. They constructed a new crawlspace door that seals, which was the biggest issue. They took out the problematic rock. The inspection passed."

Many benefits come with buying a home warranty when selling your home, but there are drawbacks to consider, too.
Pros
Peace of mind of home repair coverage
Incentive for buyers
Transferability to new owners
Prevent post-sale issues
Cons
Expensive cost
Exclusions of certain features or appliances
Coverage limits
Often difficult to understand
Potential wait for claim service
On average, a home warranty costs about $1,100, ranging from $80 to $8,300, depending on your home size and its features, type of home warranty plan, and the coverage included. Your home’s location also factors into the cost of a home warranty, with areas with a higher cost of living experiencing increased warranty costs. Additional cost to consider include:
Deductibles: $75–$125 per call
Add-ons: $2–$35 per month
Premiums: $200–$1,200 per year
Several factors make a home warranty worth it or not, especially the age of your home and the condition and age of the appliances in it. If you buy an older home with most or all original appliances, a warranty may be worth the investment as these home features are more likely to need repairs or replacements. However, if you’re buying a new-construction home, a warranty may already be included, and you may not need to use it for several years. In this case, purchasing add-ons may not be worth the cost until a few years later.
Offering a home warranty when selling can make your property more appealing to potential buyers. The warranty gives them peace of mind that many systems or appliances will be covered if they need to be repaired or replaced in the near future. Additionally, the home warranty may cover problems that arise during the home sale, such as a leaky roof or water in the basement.
The main types of home warranties cover the basic essentials, but additional plan types focus on specific areas such as:
Appliance plan: This plan covers typical household appliances like refrigerators, stoves, washer and dryer, built-in microwaves, and dishwashers. It costs $360 and $540 per year.
System plan: Costing between $360 and $540 per year, this plan covers central home systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water heaters.
Combination plan: This plan type covers both systems and appliances, costing between $545 and $1,500.
