We had an inspection done for a home we purchased in 2018 and Advantage Inspection missed about $3k of repairs - including siding for a whole side of the house, and (now) a visible fault in the HVAC system that will result in it needing to be replaced when only 8 years old. They missed obvious things, like a 4" wide burn mark on the floor the sellers had hidden with a set of fireplace tools, a rotten door frame, ect... We paid $275 for a septic inspection, which was supposed to include pumping - and all they did was take photos of the septic tank. We had to pay another company to pump. They did not respond to any of our issues or suggest any redress.

I would not recommend this inspection company. They completed there inspection and upon returning home I discovered the wires for my gas logs exposed (I have a cat) and the gas was still on! Other items in the house were not left as found. Upon receiving the inspection report for requested repairs I noticed that trivial items were noted but there were no mention of windows being inspected, etc. Among the trivial items requested was install CO Dectectors. At the time of inspection there were two CO detectors (one on each floor)...one being a NEST protect. Overall, I was disappointed with their inspector as a seller.

Inspection went very well. Was able to obtain appointment with less than 24 hour notice. Inspector was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain each item on the report. Outstanding service overall.

I hesitated spending the money for a home inspection since the home is brand new, but I ultimately decided to have it done anyway. I am so glad I did. Glenn (our inspector) checked and found items which I never would have discovered on my own until they became a problem down the road. One of them was what I consider to be a major finding which is now being corrected by the builder. Both the final report and the inspection (inside and out) was extensive and thorough. During our walk-through, Glenn patiently explained exactly what he was checking for each step of the way, in a language I (a layman) could easily understand. AAA did a fantastic job that was worth every penny.

I haven't worked with any other home inspectors before, so my frame of reference is limited, but everything went well with no problems. As long as no problems come to light that were missed by the inspector, I am very satisfied with my experience.

Loved Will! He was very friendly and thorough. He took 2 and a half hours to inspect our 1600 sq ft house. Let me tell you he didn't miss a thing. From a sink stopper not working to damaged woodwork, he went through every nook and cranny. We were very impressed with the amount of attention to detail. The house was inspected on Friday and we got the report back Sunday night. Prices are by the square footage of the house. We would highly recommend them!

It's a little expensive, but so much easier than trying to hire different people to do each inspection. I needed a structural engineer to verify the foundation was HUD/FHA approved, a termite inspection done, the well water tested, an overall home inspection, and the septic tank system inspected. Most things were required by the lender in order to get the loan. I was able to get the foundation done, the overall home inspection done, the septic system inspected, and the well water tested in 1 day. The termite inspection was done the following Tuesday. All inspections totaled to $1,365. The home inspector (who also tested the well water), Rob, was extremely polite and professional, allowing my brother to follow him around. The inspector for the septic system and the foundation, Glenn, was also extremely professional and friendly. I would highly recommend both those gentlemen.

However, the termite inspector, whose name and company were never given to me, was rude, obnoxious, and in a hurry. We were told by the Advantage office to meet him at the property between 1pm and 1:30pm on the day we were given. We arrived at 1:15pm to find him leaving. He did go back to the house with us to look inside, but acted rude and and quot;put outand quot;. He refused to answer my brother's questions and only walked around inside the house with a flashlight, shining it at the baseboards. Having not witnessed him going under the house, we can't be sure he even did an inspection, although the report we received was good. After complaining to the office (through our realtor), Advantage assured us that he did do the inspection, but said that he had been reprimanded and would no longer do inspections for Advantage. I guess that's the best we can hope for.

And Yolanda, in the office, seemed a little confused at times, but perhaps she was having a tough day. She did sound exceptionally busy, and as a former secretary myself, I know how it can get sometimes. So not knowing just what was going on at the other end of the phone, I can't in good conscience completely fault her.

Overall, I liked dealing with these folks very much, and would do so again.

Dave Park was very responsive and informative. He provided a detail report, outlined all issues, and even offered some advice on what to do regarding one of the wells that turned up having some bacteria in it. He was on time, provided a complete estimate prior to service and did everything he said he would do! I would definitely use Advantage Home Inspection Again in the future. Especially since they are a full-service provider. I was able to go to them as a and quot;one-stop shopand quot; and he advised us when there was something he couldn't do (like test a water softener system). We were very okay with everything. And, he met our deadline!

At first, Advantage Home Inspection seemed like they were a reputable company with knowledgeable and proactive home inspectors. We hired them to inspect a home we were under contract to buy. After the home inspection, they provided us with a seemingly thorough report of the house. It was 37 pages long and filled with pictures and information. Somehow, they failed to find the most obvious and expensive problem with the house--a broken heat furnace. The Advantage Home Inspection report said that the furnace was in proper working order. As a result, we bought the house and quickly found out the furnace did not work when the gas was turned on and no heat came out of the air vents. After evaluation by 3 HVAC companies, we were told us we needed to replace the entire unit due to problems with the furnace (rust, insufficient duct work, and crack in the heat exchanger). All of these things can be seen with the naked eye without having to disassemble any part of the furnace. Their mistake cost us three weeks of living in a cold house and $3900. When we confronted Advantage Home Inspection about the problem (to their credit), they refunded us the cost of the home inspection. But the bottom line is if Advantage Home Inspection had done their job correctly, we could have negotiated a generous price reduction or we would not even have bought the house at all. We lost all our bargaining tools after closing. I understand a home inspector missing little things here and there but this is not the type of service your provider making any kind of mistakes. They missed a major problem and the end result was us getting screwed over. You can't return a bad house.

Dave's explanation of the report has helped us to determine what needs to be repaired now versus later and/or what needs to be taken back for negotiation purposes. The inspection and report did what it was supposed to do, but the explanations made it outstanding! Again, I cannot say enough about Advantage Inspection. We are thrilled!
