Small jobs welcome

"We hired Keen Precision Drywall to finish our shed that will be used as a s/he shed, complete with electric. The shed is now ready for paint and decor and their work was impressive. They were always on time, communicating any issues that they ran into that were inevitably the fault of the builder. From the very beginning they were transparent with pricing and responsive to any questions we had even prior to being hired for the job. I would not hesitate to hire Kevin again for any other work at our home and we would happily refer them to others."

"OMG!!! I can?t say enough good things about Mendoza?s . We started the project at the end of March, & we?re so close to finishing soon. They were originally only supposed to do drywall, but Mr Mendoza took over my WHOLE project and helped me complete my entire building. He was incredibly helpful in making sure we got what we needed, stayed on schedule, & under budget. The paint job was perfect, & regret not finding him for the first part of my building. They handled the framing, electrical, drywall and the paint. It was completely flawlessly. If you want someone who will care about your business or any type of project like it?s their own, hire Mendoza!"

"Ziv was excellent. He did a fantastic job removing an accent wall and patching the ceiling and wall. He brought us along, asking for our preferences, checking in. I would request that he come back for a future project."

Customers say: Quality work

"This young company did an excellent job. We did have to have them come back to do some extra sanding & painting in the bathroom - which they did very graciously. They were negotiable, polite and hardworking!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

According to the EPA, mold grows within 24 to 48 hours if left untreated after a water leak. So unless you notice the leak and stop it right away, you only have a day or so before mold is a real concern. If you don’t notice the leak, it can take about three weeks for the mold spores to become visible. That means you’ve likely had an active mold infection for a few weeks by the time you notice discoloration.

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. But if you are DIYing your drywall installation, glue is a perfectly fine choice if you’re willing to pay extra for adhesive.

There are several benefits to wet-sanding drywall, but the main perk is that it produces far less dust than dry-sanding. As a result, wet-sanding poses fewer health risks and makes less of a mess in your home. Plus, damp sponges are less abrasive than sandpaper, so there’s a smaller chance of scratching or damaging the drywall paper. Wet-sanding also creates a smoother finish than dry-sanding.

Yes, you can use drywall repair techniques for some types of plaster damage. Tiny holes and small cracks in plaster can be patched in similar ways to drywall. You apply the necessary compound to fill the hole, wait for it to dry, then sand it down. For larger damage, like water damage or mold, you need to use plaster-specific techniques and materials.

Yes, drywall nail pops are a common occurrence in homes, both new and old, resulting from the settling and shifting of the structure over time. Though not present in every room or on every wall, encountering nail pops in different sections of a home is not unusual, particularly if the temperature, humidity, or foundation has experienced changes.
