"Exceptional Kitchen Renovation Experience! We recently had the pleasure of working with Hergon Cabinets for a complete kitchen overhaul, and I couldn't be more delighted with the results. From start to finish, their commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and customer-centric approach truly set them apart. Reynaldo and LuzNelly proved themselves to be incredibly detail-oriented. From the initial consultation where they took the time to understand our needs, to the final touches that added an exceptional level of finesse, their dedication was evident every step of the way. They offer highly reasonable prices without compromising on quality. We were pleasantly surprised by their ability to provide high quality materials and craftsmanship while keeping the project budget in check. Reynaldo and LuzNelly worked closely with us and took our inputs into considerations while also providing valuable insights and suggestions that created a good working relationship that is hard to come by nowadays. We were pleased by flexible their schedule to accommodate our timeline/availability and any unforeseen changes that cropped up during the project. If you're in search of a kitchen renovation company that exemplifies attention to detail, affordability, client collaboration, and flexibility, I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a hassle-free, top-tier kitchen transformation."

"Carlos and his team were top notch. My wife and I hired Carlos to demo our existing laundry room and install new drywall, which required new framing, install new floor joists, new paint and new cabinets with trim. He showed up when he said he would and finished in a timely manner. He is upfront, honest, and gets the job done right. His team is very professional and kind. I plan to hire him again if we do anymore projects and recommend him to anyone needing work done. Excellent experience with Brothers Carpentry and Paint."

"Sean made custom roll out shelving to install in my current cabinet and added supports to sure up the small cabinet pantry to ensure it would not separate, creating issues with new slide out wood shelving he made to fit my cabinet. It was exactly what I wanted, he designed and made it happen! 100 percent satisfied. I would definitely hire again for future projects."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

Unless otherwise specified in the manufacturer’s instructions, in most cases you should attach the hinges to the cabinet door before attaching it to the cabinet frame. Once you attach the hinge to the door, you can then align it with the cabinet frame and screw it firmly into place. Be sure to consult the manufacturer’s instructions for best practices.

In a kitchen installation, starting with the foundation and structural elements before moving on to the finishing touches is essential. Framing, plumbing, and utilities should go first, followed by cabinetry and countertops, then plumbing fixtures and new appliances. Flooring, paint, tile backsplashes, and similar finishing touches should get installed last.

If your cabinets don’t reach the ceiling, you can extend them higher, adding visual interest, privacy, and storage space to your kitchen. Depending on the height of your ceiling, you may want to extend the structure of the cabinets and install longer doors to make each individual cabinet taller, or you could add additional cabinets above the existing ones. Either option is cheaper and easier than installing entirely new cabinets.

Medicine cabinets are not necessarily outdated, but they have evolved in design and functionality. However, some homeowners prefer other storage solutions, like wall-mounted shelving or modern vanity cabinets with built-in storage. Still, medicine cabinets remain a practical and space-saving choice in many bathrooms. In most cases, potential home buyers won’t be swayed by a medicine cabinet one way or the other.

The depth of your pantry shelves should range between 12 and 24 inches, depending on how high it sits on the wall and your pantry size. Higher shelves should fall on the thinner side since it is harder to reach deep shelving areas the higher you go.
