"They did a good job and followed up quickly to install a riser. Good service at a good price. BUT... I was a bit skeptical of their recommendation for a new filter and expensive turbo cleaning of the septic field/components. I declined the recommendation. The septic field isn't showing any signs of a problem (soggy/soft ground). I might regret it, but I suspect they were needlessly upselling me."

"Very quick response to my request for service. Came on time and did the job in spite of the rain/snow. My septic tank access was almost 3 feet down, so I got them to install a collar to raise access to just below surface level for future cleanouts."

"They have an excellent record for plumbing and water softening, as well as septic tank service. We have used them since 1972, and will continue to use them. They are courteous, smart and answer questions. They do extra things to make sure the system is working just right."

"We called Forever Clean to pump our septic tank. Then previous homeowner hadn’t touched it in 28 years. In fact, they didn’t even know where the septic tank was so Forever Clean had to find the tank. They did so, with some effort. Took about an hour and lots of poking and digging. They were able to pump the 28 year old tank which provided us with peace of mind. We will have Forever Clean on our schedule for regular maintenance in the future!"

"Ricky and his team were very thorough and affordable. Installation of my new septic tank was done before I even returned home from work. They made the process much easier than I ever anticipated for a complete overhaul of my septic system."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Installation necessitates professional expertise due to complexity and to ensure safety when handling waste.

Depending on local conditions, a deep well may be a better choice than a shallow well. Deeper well depth accesses groundwater that has been naturally filtered through many layers of soil and rock. This reduces surface contaminants and may offer cleaner water, but deep wells cost more money to build and maintain. The water may be harder and have higher radioactivity, too.

There are a few signs that indicate a failing drain field. For instance, if your septic tank starts requiring more pumping than normal, your drain field might be failing. Other signs to watch for include poor drainage after rain, standing water or sewage over the septic system, a strong septic smell outside, new and healthy grass growing over the drain field, and plumbing backups in your sinks, bathtubs, or toilets.

There are three layers of wastewater in a septic tank: scum (solid waste that floats to the top of the wastewater), liquid (the relatively clean liquid wastewater in between the two other layers), and sludge (solid waste that falls to the bottom of the wastewater). The buildup of sludge is one of the main reasons septic tanks need to be pumped. If the tank is more than 1/3 of the way full with a combination of sludge and scum, it’s time to call a pro for pumping.

Schedule annual inspections, test water pressure, and protect the pump from freezing temperatures.
