"These guys are very good. I highly recommend them. They did three tasks, stabilizing a cracked concrete floor in a shed, stabilizing my 30 year old concrete driveway, and stabilizing my 30 year old modular home foundation that was built out of specs. Well done!"

"I retained Advanta Clean, represented by Tim Kiser, to
provide surface mold remediation which was caused by excess humidity in my home
due to an air conditioning problem. Tim and his crew did an exceptional job.
The crew was meticulous and very conscientious working to remove the mold yet
at the same time causing no damage to the walls and surfaces. They were careful
to cover furniture and fixtures and
treated my home as if it were their own. More importantly, Tim
guaranteed his work, assuring passage of mold clearance by an independent lab
before final payment was due. I highly recommend Tim Kiser and Advanta Clean
for mold remediation.

Rayford also took the time to show me what was done and answer all questions. An excellent experience all around. I would highly recommend the company and the Rayford crew."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Regular inspections, proper drainage management, and ensuring soil stability help prevent future settlement issues.

Most houses will have vents in the crawl space. This allows for air passage and energy retention, which in many ways can help control the temperature inside the home. If you are able to consider the cost of a crawl space encapsulation, you may not need your crawl space vents at all.

The primary reason homes have crawl spaces is so the foundation can reach down below the frost line to avoid dangerous soil movement and structural damage when the ground freezes. They’re more popular in colder climates where the ground freezes down to a few feet, and slabs are most popular in warmer areas where there is no frost line. Crawl spaces also provide a space for utility lines to run where they’re at less of a risk of freezing.

In some circumstances, foundation refacing or repair may be a better option for your home than sealing a foundation. It’s always a good idea to take steps to prevent moisture problems in your foundation, but if there are any structural concerns, those will usually need to be fixed first. When dealing with foundation issues, it’s a good idea to get a professional opinion so you can avoid bigger problems down the road.

The best way to ensure the ground next to your home’s foundation drains properly is to divert water away from it as much as possible. While a flood wall can stop water from entering the house, gutters and spouts can help direct rainwater and melting snow away from the foundation. Keep your gutters as clear as possible from dead leaves and other yard debris so they can effectively divert water from your house. Add extenders to the spouts so the water runs out and away from your home, not into the surrounding soil.
