We first hired Stryker to replace a touchless kitchen faucet. They sent a lovely female plumber, Autumn, who was efficient and neat. (We never saw Autumn again, despite requesting her.) The next time we called Stryker was to repair a Toto toilet. First, we were admonished for even buying a Toto. Then we were subjected to an unnecessary diatribe on what it would take and cost to repair the toilet, the latter of which was quite high. The last and final time we hired Stryker was to replace our hot water heater. After taking multiple photos, we were told they would install a tall, narrow heater due to room constraints. Instead they showed up with a short, wide unit, which took some doing – and damage - to get into place. To add insult to injury, the heater leaked within 24 hours, necessitating a weekend service call. Then the install failed inspection because the vent pipe was installed too close to some PVC pipes. (Isn’t it the plumber’s responsibility to be aware of code restrictions?) As a result, the vent pipe needed to be replaced – at our expense – with a double wall, insulated pipe. Plus they demanded payment before the follow-up inspection. NOT kosher. The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs Rule: N.J.A.C. 13:45A-16.2(a)10.ii states: "For inspection on construction permits for: building, electric, plumbing, fire protection or elevator, final payment to the contractor is not required to be made before a final inspection is performed." The final straw? In order to get the hot water heater into place, the installer needed to remove a transmitter that operates dampers on our HVAC system. In replacing the transmitter, he wired it incorrectly, causing it to short out. That cost us yet another $250 from our HVAC contractor, for which we received no compensation. Unless you enjoy being admonished, insulted and paying for work prior to inspection approval, we suggest you look elsewhere.

Drew was excellent. He did an excellent service, treated my system like his own, answered all my questions. He even showed me about the different types of filters which will help my unit run more efficiently . Drew is very friendly and professional. Thank you John C Hillsboro

They were good, we've been satisfied.  If they drove me crazy I would not have had them back.  I'd give them an "A" for overall service.

We use Stryker and they're good.  They're not inexpensive but they're competent, and I'll settle for that.  They have a very sweet receptionist, as well as competent techs.  When they send their older techs out, they're an A-plus.  We've used them for years.  For quality, I'd give them an A; they're good.  For responsiveness, they're very good - A.  We have them out twice a year.  I've been satisfied.  If they drove me crazy I would not have them back.  On price, everything goes up a little bit because that's how inflation works.  We will absolutely use them again.  I like working with them and they leave everything very clean.  My first impression of Stryker was relief because we had bad service before that from someone else.  They've been consistently good.  Basically, we use them twice a year and I can't remember specifically from visit to visit, but they've been good.

They do a great job.  They aren't the cheapest but they are very competent and I'd take that over price.  We've used them for years.  I would use them again.

Called company up and let them know i needed the main shut off valve replaced in my condo unit. They discovered that the shutoff to the building also needed to be replaced and quickly put in an order to replace the line outside so that they could complete my work within the week. Technician came to my house on the friday and completed the work quickly and cleanly and also provided guidance on other plumbing work looking to do in the house. Will highly recommend them for work.

It wasn't repaired so another technician had to come out and redo it. I thought it was really poor that the person did not clean up and the pipe that was causing the issue was not addressed and he did not do it right.

We needed to have our compressor and coils replaced during the summer when our old units broke. Stryker was able to replace everything timely and the quality of the work was good. We are happy with the overall product and it has worked well since being replaced. We were also happy with the price. Overall we would recommend.

At first, we called a different local provider that was highly rated, but they could not service us the same day. We wanted this fixed ASAP, so we called Stryker at about 10:30 AM.  We were told a plumber was on another job at the time, but would be available in the afternoon.  We were told there would be a $99 service call charge plus whatever materials and labor were needed.  The plumber arrived at 3:15 PM.  He had the necessary replacement parts in his truck: a new Delta 400 kitchen faucet and three shutoff valves to replace the corroded ones under the sink.  He took 1 1/2 hours.  The bill was $436 + $17 tax for a total of $453.  I asked if we could have a senior discount for being over 65, but was told they do not offer it.  The bill seemed a bit high, but the work seemed to be quality. The plumber tested for leaks several times and made an adjustment.  Overall, we were glad the job was finished the same day.
Note: this provider shares the same address and phone number as Stryker Heating and Cooling.

I called Mon. 8/29 after Irene flooded my basement the day before. I was concerned about my furnace and hot water heater, both of which were subjected to 3' of water for several hours. Stryker's guy came WITHIN AN HOUR and adjusted and cleaned both, and took measures to dry them out and make sure they were safe and OK. He showed me what happened inside the furnace and hot water heater, and told me what to watch for. This $150 one-hour service call gave me peace of mind and I appreciated the quick response.

It went well, but not quite brilliantly. On two different occasions now I've needed "emergency" (or, at least, very quick) service . . . an air conditioning failure in mid-summer, and a water heater failure in late Fall. In both cases, I wasn't in a position to negotiate for the best price, or wait for a cheaper alternative to show up in 2 weeks. In both cases, Stryker had someone there to assess the situation immediately, and got repairs going very quickly. (For the AC replacement, they *didn't* try to persuade me to do it on the weekend, which would have doubled the installation cost . . . to their credit, they advised me that the weekend looked "tolerable" with respect to heat, and I could save a bundle if I waited until Monday). For the water heater, it was a regular weekday, and they had the new one installed by the end of the day. In both cases, I believe I got thoughtful advice about what my options were (in particular for the water heater, where I wanted to upgrade from electric to gas anyway). I didn't get any sense of them trying to take advantage of my situation to overcharge or to sell me a system I didn't need. I suspect the pricing was not the cheapest, but the timing was great and the workmanship quite good. The only complaint I have is that the new water heater required a new dedicated 110v line to power the exhause blower (the line supporting the previous electric heater was a bizarrely-spliced 220/110 hybrid). I initially just used an extension cord to plug it in to another outlet; Styker was going to come back at the end of the week to put in the dedicated line. Alas, they didn't. I got tired of waiting (after a 2nd week had gone by) and had another electrical contractor who was on-site do it. In their defense (Stryker's), I suppose they would have come if I had been calling up and b******* about it (but frankly, I shouldn't have to do that). They did finally remember to do it . . . they called me a month later when the Township permits were ready (takes forever around here) and said they would send someone out to take care of the line . . . too late. This was the only thing that wasn't quite good about the whole experience; I'd still use them again.
