"I did a lot of research on Angie's List before selecting 3 roofers to come out and give us a quote. Not only was CSR one of the highest rated, but they ended up giving us a VERY competitive quote... even beating out one other company that was going to charge a little more but only provide us with 25 year shingles. For less, we got a great 50-year, architectural shingle roof. It looks great. Of course, the warranty is only as good as the company behind it. If the company ceases to exist, then so does the warranty. CSR has been around for 30 years. The owner, Van Sterling, came out to present his proposal after his son had come out to do measurements, etc. So... looks like his son will take over the company and it should be around for quite a while. The shingles are by GAF, around forever and likely to remain so. Van explained to us that the ridge vents we had were working in opposition to the roof fan. So, we took the roof fan out. Saving on electricity, the hum of the fan, and resulting in a cooler attic too. CSR does not use subcontractors. The crew of 7 who were here all work for them. Some for more than 10 years. Stephen, the project manager, was here throughout the day making sure all got done to their standards. They even pack a microwave with the crew so everyone hangs around here for lunch rather than taking off for fast food somewhere and potentially being delayed on the return. All of them were very professional. They tarped everything and didn't damage any of the plantings/shrubbery/etc. around the house. At the end of the day, they cleaned up so well the only thing that showed they were here was the beautiful new roof. Would definitely hire again... in another 50 years when we need a new roof :-) "
"After the repair was done I noticed a leak in my bathroom ceiling where one of the roof vents were replaced. I called the Subcontractor Brian on a Saturday morning. The weather was cold and raining. He was at my house within the hour up on the roof and fixed the leak. I havent had any leaks since. I would hire Brain the Subcontractor again."

"It went very well. We discovered mold on the interior walls of a storage room off the side of our house and later determined that water was seeping into the room via porous, damaged siding. We wanted to address the issue quickly and as economically as possible. We also knew there were other spots of damaged siding (and trim) that needed to be fixed elsewhere on the house. Several other siding businesses I called wouldn't even do repairs--just new installations. The masonite siding used on our house is no longer available, but rather than try to sell us a whole house-worth of vinyl siding, Bryan suggested that they could pull any good siding off the storage room and use it to repair all of the places identified. That sort of problem solving sold me on James Taylor Construction pretty quickly. Bryan was also super friendly, very responsive to texts and emails, and clearly on top of things. He called to keep me posted on what was going on and when things would happen. Additionally, he was sweet with my kids, which tends to go a long way with me. A crew of five guys shows up on a Monday morning and got to work. They stayed late both days to finish things up. They encountered some surprise termite damage and dealt with the it efficiently, carefully, and, most importantly, thoroughly. They fixed some additional spots of rot without a fuss. And by Tuesday evening the work was complete. They cleaned up after themselves each day and were polite (and grateful for snacks!). The gutter took all of 20 minutes for a different subcontractor to install on Wednesday and I hardly new the guy was here! I'd hire them again in a second.
"They were great. They sent one of their subcontractors to do the work. They did a really good job with the work and they responded quickly. They were fair priced and really honest."

An architect is usually involved in the process of determining the layout and structural features and requirements of the home itself, taking into account the local codes, climate, and materials needed to make the home structurally sound. Architects may communicate more with contractors and subcontractors throughout the building process. In comparison to architects, interior designers typically focus on the aesthetics of a home interior and possibly exterior, helping the homeowner decide on color schemes, textures, and materials to incorporate into the design.
Yes, professionals will offer tailored solutions to fit architectural and personal style preferences.
Hiring a professional to do a loft conversion will certainly speed up the process. The construction steps required to change the slope of the roof can be quite difficult to do as a DIY job. Should the project run into any snags, like rot in the joists, frayed wiring, or roof leaks, hiring a local home remodeling professional makes it far easier to handle these issues safely.
There are several different steps in the pole barn building process. First, you’ll need construction plans, which you’ll use to obtain permits. Then, you can clear the land so it’s suitable for building and installing the foundation. Your contractor will frame the barn using large poles, then rough in the plumbing and electricity (if your barn has those elements) before finishing the interior, adding siding, and installing the roof.
After that, they’ll finish up the electrical work and plumbing and add your windows and doors. You may have a few other finishing jobs to do like painting or waterproofing.
It usually takes around four to six months to build and install a modular home, although your timeline could go up to around eight months if there are delays in the manufacturing or permitting process. Heavy site preparation and foundation pouring can extend that timeline if you need them, as can customizations you want for your modular home. Your modular home company should be able to provide an estimate for the construction timeline before you sign any contracts or agree to any work.
