"I cannot say enough good things about AllRestore. After 3 estimates their price was the lowest (the price included all of the same materials the other two companies proposed). Jim Hoctor’s presentation on the products, process, and warranty was outstanding and reassuring. Our roof was replaced timely and looks beautiful. AllRestore also installed new oversized gutters at a price lower than other estimates we obtained. Very happy!!"

"We had our entire new 3k+ square ft home’s interior, including trim painted and it turned out fantastic! Martha, Tony and crew were exceptional. Not only was the ease of doing business, the cost of the project, and professionalism all great but the quality and meticulousness was over the top. They did so good that we kept them on to do all of the cabinets in our home. They also removed some built-in furniture and repaired the trim etc as well as fixed some ceiling damage caused by our movers. It all looks brand new. We couldn’t be happier with AMC and will definitely employ them again and recommend them for sure."

"We had some initial communication issues but they worked itself out.  The area was a small space that turned out to be a bit more difficult than expected such as the sink be installed poorly by a previous contracter but Chris was very professional and did a wonderful job.  He fixed the sink so it was installed properly.  He pays great attention to detail and does the job right.  I also used them to re-do my flat roof in the late Spring.  They got the job done right away and for a reasonable a good price.

"Best experience I've ever had dealing with a contractor. I have absolutely no complaints and I don't think I can say that about any prior experience with having work done. Rick was on time, up front, professional and friendly. The whole process was smooth and communication particularly was excellent. I would contact them again for any work I need done."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

There are several different steps in the pole barn building process. First, you’ll need construction plans, which you’ll use to obtain permits. Then, you can clear the land so it’s suitable for building and installing the foundation. Your contractor will frame the barn using large poles, then rough in the plumbing and electricity (if your barn has those elements) before finishing the interior, adding siding, and installing the roof.

After that, they’ll finish up the electrical work and plumbing and add your windows and doors. You may have a few other finishing jobs to do like painting or waterproofing.

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.

Adequate storage, workspaces, and energy-efficient systems are key considerations.

When planning a general remodeling project, it's important to define the scope of work, understand your goals, and set a clear, detailed budget. You should also assess the current structure and consult with professionals like architects or contractors. Create a realistic timeline for each phase, obtain any necessary permits, and build in contingency plans for potential delays or unforeseen issues. Regular communication with all involved parties is crucial to streamline the process.

A split-level home is one that has several staggered floors connected by short staircases, while a split floor plan separates the primary bedroom from the rest of the bedrooms. Split floor plans are most often found in single-story homes, while split-level homes are always at least two stories.
