"I hired Pinnacle Construction for a small project of removing a kitchenette in our condo at Sea Trail. The added complication of not being a resident was not a complication at all, as Bobby communicated frequently and was even flexible enough for me to accept a "last minute" rental! Bobby responded to my inquiry quickly and submitted a quotation within a day. Great communication every step of the way. Even though the job was not large and expensive, Bobby made a point to keep me updated with text, calls and photos. I highly recommend Pinnacle for the quality of work and the excellent customer service."

"Jim and his crew were amazing from start to finish! Jim is excellent at communication and doing what he says will be done in the time that he says it will be done! It was the easiest project we have ever gone through and this was a warranty claim. Jim worked with us to get our siding replaced and did not mind the few extra steps we all had to go through for the claim."

"He was awesome. He was worried that the ceiling fan was "wobbling" due to ceiling imperfections. Neither my husband nor I could see a thing. I have 2 more ceiling fans that need to be replaced. I can't hold them up myself and I will call him to replace them.

"After the repair was done I noticed a leak in my bathroom ceiling where one of the roof vents were replaced. I called the Subcontractor Brian on a Saturday morning. The weather was cold and raining. He was at my house within the hour up on the roof and fixed the leak. I havent had any leaks since. I would hire Brain the Subcontractor again."

"I called Mike in the morning just hoping he would be able to come by and give me an estimate in a day or two. He said he would be working in my area and would call me that afternoon when he was clear. He called me back exactly when he said he would and arrived within 30 minutes. He gave me a quick estimate which was a fair price for the work to be done. It was late in the afternoon but he said he would do the job while he was there. He was very careful not to harm the siding on the house or my plants and flowers. He finished just before dark. It wasn't  until the next day that I could see what a good job he did. All the mold, mildew and dirt was gone and the house and decks looked great. I was very pleased with his work. Would definitely hire Mike again and would recommend him to my friends."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

It is technically possible to draw your own blueprints, but the process is extremely involved and really demands help from an expert. A professional architect has an understanding of design elements, interior design, the functionality of different rooms in a home, and how everything from furniture, outlets, and light switches should be laid out to serve you and your family best. Hiring an architect for blueprints can get expensive, but it’s the most responsible way to begin a new construction project. If you’re keen on DIYing, you could consider starting the process and then having a professional take over.

Depending on what the blueprints are for, a qualified draftsperson, contractor, or architect can draw them up. In some cases, including specialty permitting for a build, you may be required to use a licensed architect.

In many cases, a blueprint drawn up by a certified professional is required before a city or municipality approves a permit.

Yes, professionals can offer design advice and material selections that complement existing architecture.

The most common scale for residential blueprints is 1/4 of an inch equals one foot. This scale is the most popular because it’s easier for everyone involved, from professionals to homeowners, to understand the building’s actual dimensions. Also, it allows blueprints to have the necessary details without cluttering the page.

Yes, such as using eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient designs for long-term savings.
