"I hardly know where to start with the praise and genuine respect I have for Cams junk removal. I was in a bind because another company couldn't find workers. I had a HEAVY 10 foot table that had to go in my 2nd floor apartment on Sunday morning, no advance notice. Now when I say heavy I don't mean like a normal piece of heavy furniture, I mean like a 10 foot safe! Cam called me right away in the morning to see if we could figure something out and he made it a priority. He thought it would be a regular heavy piece of furniture, as usual. I also had a 6 ft cabinet to bring up too. Cam showed up with Kat shortly after we hung up. They got to it right away! They also found out it was REALLY HEAVY! To top it off it wouldn't go around the split in the steps going up to the second floor. That didn't deter Cam one bit! Let me just say Arnold Swartzenager has nothing on Cam! I cannot even believe how he hung over the breezeway holding on to the table suspended midair alone until Kat could get up the stairs and then pulling it up and pushing it down so the end would come up to level with the railing! I have never seen anything like it in my many many years! At one point I even told him to let it fall because I knew how hard it had to be to hold it! Bottom line, Kat is one tough cookie and afraid of nothing and Cam will not stop until the job is done. it's more than over and beyond! I will never use anyone else to move me or help me ever again! Please, Please, Please, do yourself a favor and use Cams Junk Removal (YES they do other things!) They are prompt, professional, don't waste time and are simply the best! Thanks Cam and Kat, you saved me and I am truly blessed to have stumbled into your lives!"

"I had a long distance move from Miami to Orlando and Moving APT did a phenomenal job. I opted in for the full packing service so they literally packed EVERYTHING, disassembled, loaded it, drove it, then unloaded and reassembled it at my new home. I did not have to move a single item aside from my own car. The crew was extremely helpful, professional and punctual and they had extremely competitive pricing. 5 star experience"

"I would highly recommend Bridge Land Management. I got a quote after seeing what was done at another site in my neighborhood. Once the job was complete, I was more than pleased with how it turned out. I would recommend this company to anyone needing land cleared, or brush needing to be removed. I have already given this companies number to a friend."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

As with many appliances, proper maintenance is key to maximizing your garbage disposal’s life span. If everyone in your household is on board with proper care and maintenance, like running water while operating the disposal, you should get plenty of years out of your unit. Avoid putting the wrong food items down the disposal, including pasta, rice, bread, and more.

The most common garbage disposal size in the U.S. is 1/2 horsepower. This size is ideal for households with three or fewer people or those that don't produce much food waste. Although 1/2 horsepower can't handle the typical food waste load for a household of four (which is about 250 pounds of food waste annually) as effectively as 3/4 horsepower, it remains the most common size of garbage disposal on the market.

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.
