They convinced me the quality of paint they selected was just fine, and it was. They did everything as agreed, and it turned out great. "Excel told they could replace my roof without any leaking. First time it rained it started leaking in 1 spot. They came out next morning and attempted to fix saying it was probably from high winds while raining and put a little more sealant on a joint but now it’s leaking again and it’s not raining that hard nor much wind this time. I will follow up to let everyone know if they get this fixed. My confidence is fading and if you got a new roof from Excel Metal roofing I wouldn’t just assume it’s not leaking, investigate and pop a few panels to see it there are any signs of leaking, just b/c you can’t see it does not mean it’s dry underneath!"

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn’t last quite as long as traditional wallpaper. The life span of peel-and-stick wallpaper is about five years, depending on the quality of the wallpaper and how well you prep the wall before applying. The good news is that, because of its shorter lifespan, peel-and-stick wallpaper is a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

While it is possible to paint over wallpaper, it’s not always ideal. If the wallpaper is firmly adhered, has no bubbling or peeling, and isn’t textured, you can try to prime and paint over it. Use an oil-based primer to prevent the adhesive from bleeding through. However, if the paper is damaged or loose, removal is the better long-term solution.

It depends: You can wallpaper over non-coated wallpaper, but you should never wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper. This non-recommended method will cause the new wallpaper to fail to stick, which can lead to bubbling, imperfections, and even mold growth between the layers of wallpaper. Consult a professional wallpaper hanger to determine your existing wallpaper type or remove the current wallpaper and paste residue so that the new wallpaper will adhere properly.
