"It went smoothly except that the Salesperson led us to believe that our windows would be maintenance free. On the casement windows, the installers only offered two options: Leave exposed wood that would require painting, or bridge across it with 5" wide aluminum trim that is not textured and would show any dents or imperfections. Textured trim that conforms to the contours of the window framing is commonly available as we pointed out with our neighbor's replacement casement windows. Thankfully, the cost was low enough that we were able to have a third party provide the finishing how we wanted it and stay within budget.
