"The entire process was smooth.
The only downside was not WW fault. Based on the age of the property, they were required to use the lead-abatement procedures mandated by the government. This added delay, cost and additional hassle to the process.

"WOW, just WOW!!! I called Bornder to get a bid on a new roof. I lived in Raytown many years ago and knew what a fabulous reputation they always had. Bryan S. from Bordner came out, then came back a few days later to meet with our insurance adjuster. That is all we had to do. Bryan went above and beyond in dealing with the adjuster. Within a day, they had worked out a deal, and we were getting a new roof .....to our complete satisfaction. They brought the shingles out and had the whole roof replaced and cleaned up within three days. It is a HUGE roof. Several times, a guy named Nestor G. from Bordner came to our home, checked on the job, and ensured we were happy. All our landscaping was protected, and all the extra nails and shingles were picked up. We are extremely happy with Bordner and their work. We could not ask for more from any company. The lifetime, one-time transferrable warranty is a huge bonus. If you want to hassle-free job, call Bordner. They are the best I have ever dealt with. Gloria"

"Leisure Living/Four Seasons had the exact all-weather enclosure product to fit our porch's unusual construction design, without costly alterations. All of the materials were custom-manufactured to our needed dimensions and arrived in perfect shape. The installer was extremely friendly, courteous, and efficient, and did a fantastic job. We could not be happier with the beautiful result."

"I hired this crew to replace some windows in my house that were dated and had some damage. Dan and his team were very mindful as they removed and replaced the old windows not to make a mess or damage anything on the property. I was grateful for this since I have 2 dogs, it's nice not having to worry about a bunch of broken glass from a careless crew. They replaced 5 windows and replaced the siding on the house in those areas. The windows look great inside and out and haven't had any problems with leakage or standing water on the sill. 10/10 would hire again!"

Siding questions, answered by experts

Insulated vinyl siding costs about twice as much as the cheapest form of vinyl siding, but it’s still more affordable than other types of siding, including fiber cement, wood, stone, and brick. You get a lot of bang for your buck with vinyl siding; it’s durable, it’s available in a wide range of styles and colors, and it helps lower your energy bills.

There should be small gaps between your roof and the walls of your home, and other buildings. These small gaps let building materials shift, expand, and contract with weather and other outside forces, and they prevent moisture from wicking down walls from roofing and gutter systems. Without these strategic gaps, your home’s exterior and its finishes can sustain water damage, decay, peel, delaminate, and crack. However, there is a fine line between a smart gap and a problematic gap—all  gaps should be small, intentional, and covered or filled in with foam insulation to prevent pests from using them as access points.

The biggest con of insulated vinyl siding is that it’s more expensive than traditional vinyl siding. If you’re hoping to save costs on your siding project, you’ll have better luck finding budget-friendly vinyl siding, which can cost as little as $2 per square foot, installed.

The average cost to replace siding is $10,500, but you should expect to pay an average of $12,000 to install new siding over stucco. The additional cost goes toward assessing the old stucco for damage, any necessary repairs before the new siding goes up, and the materials and labor required to install furring strips over the stucco to attach the new material. Even with this additional cost, installing siding over stucco is often more affordable than removing the stucco and starting over.

Steel and aluminum are two types of metal siding that are commonly used for residential and commercial buildings, but the materials have specific differences. Typically, steel is heavier and sturdier, fending off scratches and dents, while aluminum is lightweight and more prone to damage. Cost is another differentiating factor, as steel is more expensive than aluminum siding cost.
