"We found MN Building Contractors at the Rochester home show. The bid was comparable to the 8 contractors who bid. Bill offered suggestions and options we felt would improve the overall appearance, which is why we choose him. We had new windows, storm doors, siding, facia, soffit and gutter installed. His crews were professional, on time and did excellent work and cleaned up very well. Everything was completed in a timely manor. There were a few minor issues Bill addressed quickly and personally. Bill communicated well from bidding to completion, so we always knew what and who to expect and when. Working with Bill was like working with a friend. I would strongly suggest him as your next contractor."

"From start to finish, Envirobate was professional, punctual and very easy to deal with.
I had a walkthrough appointment with Jeff first. He got back to me over email with a proposal - without much delay. He was fast. They were very accommodating for scheduling - my project plan was to have the asbestos flooring abatement done on Monday and Tuesday to have a flooring company install a new flooring. Matt was right on time Monday morning as scheduled and he answered any questions I had. He talked directly to the installation company's manager about the floor preparation when I asked him to ( there was a question about needing to remove the whole subflooring or not). The area being abated was fairly small : about 145 s.f. I did a walk through of the rooms before Matt left. There was no mess and the floors looked ready for the installation crew. He pointed out a doorway area that could be a potential problem for the installers but I figured a door transition piece would handle a small difference in height. It looked good to me. He said to contact them if there was any problem with the doorway area.
Tuesday morning is when my great plan fell apart. The floor installer showed up, looked at the doorway area and said that it was a problem. He told me it needed abatement to have it fixed and he left with my flooring materials. Small story short, the flooring installation manager came that afternoon, did a site visit and he showed me that some subflooring needed to be removed by abatement before they could do installation. I contacted Jeff that I had a problem using email; He responded promptly - said not to worry and said "We'll be happy to come back". Envirobate is dependable! Matt showed up at 8am on the scheduled day, right on time - took out the subflooring area and removed the problem. There was no extra charge for the 2nd visit. I would not hesitate to hire Envirobate again. It's peace of mind to hire them."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"We now walk out of our basement french doors onto a beautiful bricked patio. Tom and his worker did a phenomenal job! They were very hard-working, professional, efficient and definitely very detail oriented and work was completed timely. They also kept us updated on the installation. They are very knowledgeable and pointed out pros and cons which other contractors did not do. At the same time they were respectful and pleasant, letting us make up our own minds. Because of experience in related fields, they were able to share knowledge we probably would not have otherwise received.
First they completed measurements to ensure the grading was correct so everything in the end would be level. Yes, the bricks are extremely level and graded so the water runs away from the house. This involved laying down the foundation. Attention to detail was displayed when Tom and his worker arranged the different colored pavers into an attractive pattern and laid the pavers for a tight fit. They also took the extra time to ensure the pavers were cut in such a way there was both a tight fit and attractive look when installing around the piers. Not only does Tom do phenomenal work but his worker does too! They went above and beyond when Tom rerouted our existing irrigation for the sprinkler system to accommodate the pavers. Excellent job on clean-up too.
They are definitely concerned about and use quality material and used superior weed cloth barrier, extra long spikes, edging and such materials. Their bid was competitive and we felt fortunate to have had such a qualified company do our job. They also guarantee their work for 5 years and only one other contractor we found had this same guarantee. Most do 1 year based on companies we researched.
They go above and beyond what is required. I forgot to move some hosta plants and when I came home I received a pleasant surprise in that the plants were dug out for me and put aside by his worker.
We definitely plan to use this company again and highly recommend their work."
