"Josh was very thorough and willing to clean additional rugs on the fly as we realized we needed more things cleaned. We liked him so much that we asked him to return a couple weeks later to clean another carpet for us. Josh was extremely polite. We would definitely recommend and hire him again."

"I was agonizing over the need to replace my carpeting given the stains it had. My best friend said, "NO, get your carpet cleaned. It will be like new." I am astonished, but Superior Carpet Cleaning removed ALL stains and my 23 year old carpeting IS LIKE NEW! Tom's service is outstanding. You will never regret hiring him!"

"I am very pleased to recommend Ohana Clean LLC for carpet cleaning! Last year, Ohana cleaned our carpets (3 rooms and stairs) and I was more pleased than I ever had been with a cleaning company. I needed cleaning again (kind of an afterthought while thinking ahead to a party we’re hosting Sunday) so I tried to find their contact info. But it was to no avail. So I reached out on another company’s site asking for an appointment and quote. Then I stumbled across my business card for Ohana and had them back out today. They are very reasonably priced - and their work is superb, super, and superior to any other carpet cleaners. My 20-year-old carpet looks awesome and they got some stains out that were “iffy”. I know have them in my contacts and they have earned status as our forever carpet cleaners!! Kudos Ohana! ?? BTW I still haven’t heard from the big company I messaged."

Carpet Cleaning FAQs, answered by experts

Soot can be harder to remove compared to other types of stains given its acidic nature. It can also cause underlying paint to peel off during the cleaning process. If your soot issue is a result of smoke damage, it’s recommended you call a pro to help remove it versus doing it yourself.

The drying time for a couch or other upholstered furniture after cleaning can range from 1 to 24 hours, with a common estimate being 2 to 8 hours. This duration depends on several factors, including the type of fabric, the cleaning method used (such as steam cleaning or shampooing), the size of the furniture, and the room's temperature and humidity.

To speed up the drying process, you can use fans, a heater, or a dehumidifier, and increase ventilation by opening windows. Rotating the cushions can also help ensure they dry evenly. It is crucial to wait until the furniture is completely dry before sitting on it. Using it while damp can trap moisture, potentially causing mold, mildew, unpleasant odors, dye transfer, or permanent damage to the foam cushions.

Yes, you can use upholstery cleaners on most couches. It’s always best to consult the manual and your couch's laundry instructions so you know you’re using it right and not causing any damage.

The cost for professional carpet cleaning is $180 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying as low as $80 or as high as $375 or more, depending on how much carpeting you have in your home and the type of cleaning you’ll have done, plus any add-ons like furniture and upholstery cleaning. For example, bonnet carpet cleaning averages around $150 since it’s more surface-level. However, due to its complexity, hot water extraction cleaning averages closer to $400.

There are a few reasons your area rug smells after cleaning. First, you might have agitated dirt, dust, and pet dander deep in the rug during cleaning, which might smell for a day or two if you didn’t remove it all. Second, if your rug smells like chemicals, it’s possible you didn’t rinse out all of the rug cleaning solution you used. Finally, if you didn’t hang up your rug to dry completely, it could be holding moisture and allowing mold to grow. In any of these cases, it’s a good idea to defer to a professional for help.
