"The work was done quickly and they even helped me coordinate with a roofer to finish off the job all at one time. It took about 3 days. In the end it was as if they'd never been there, save some high quality masonry work on my new chimney. The price was a little higher then expected but that was mostly due to the chosen brick. Also, the quality of the work is great and I believe you get what you pay for."

"The gentleman who came out was very friendly and professional. He explained what he was doing. He also answered some questions we had about getting our fireplace up and running again. I would definitely use this company for dryer vent cleaning or for chimney sweep/repair needs."

"Nosh did a fantastic job.  He arrived promptly at 8, confirmed what I wanted then set about his business with repairs.  When he was done with the work (and cleaning up) he walked me through all of the work he did and answered a few other questions I had.  He was gone by Noon and now I have a chimney cap that will last for many years."

"I was very impressed by the professionalism and knowledge. My color match was perfect, you cannot even tell any work was done on my home. For the amount of work that was done to my home the price was excellent. My chimney, threshold, and all the mortar was repaired and replaced. I am very pleased and would highly recommend Brick Preservations to anyone that is looking to have brick work done on their home."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

By positioning ductwork for optimal airflow and reducing potential leaks.

You should contact a local range hood installation professional to install your range hood and do the ductwork. Prices range from $50 to $100 per hour, with the total number of hours required varying based on the project complexity. Simple installations might take an hour or two, while more complicated ones can take four hours or more.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

No, you can’t install just any microwave over your range. You have to get a specific type of microwave known as an over-the-range unit. These include venting and lighting features that you’ll need above your stovetop.

Although countertop units are more affordable, they won’t work for this type of installation. To avoid hazardous conditions in your kitchen, buy the right type of microwave for your needs.
