Fantastic job. Knowledgeable and helpful. Had a couple other estimates. This company was the only one that actually went up onto the roof to inspect the chimney.

No shows across the board, and a bunch of poorly crafted excuses. Brain dead owner.

Crew arrived at appointed time, finished on schedule, and clean-up was so complete, I could not tell they had been there.

Beware of this company. We had an appointment for them to come out to give us an estimate for a new front porch. They never showed and didn’t call. Three days later the owner returned my husband’s call and apologized for the mistake. We got an estimate and he gave us 10% off because of the inconvenience. We financed through them and waited for our work date. My husband took off of work because we were told they needed someone home. At 11:30 the day of the install, when nobody had called or shown up my husband called and they said, sorry nobody can come today. They gave us another date 3 weeks later saying that it was no problem doing the work even though it was half way into November. That day came and we came home at lunch time to see the progress to find nobody here. When my husband called, they said that someone had been out to start the work and were then called to another job. We were told they would be back the next day. It was a lie. Nothing had been started and from that day on we couldn’t even get them to return our phone call. A month later, my husband had to cancel the financing because it was clear they were never going to provide the service they promised. DO NOT use this company. We have a cracked and falling apart porch that we’re stuck with now until spring when we can try to hire another company. We’re hoping that not getting it fixed will not cause more problems with leaks, etc.

Waited 2 weeks to get an appointment. The guy came in and looked up the chimney told me I had a crack in the fireplace and I needed to pay $3000-$4000 to get it repaired or buy a vent free unit they MIRACULOUSLY had “in the van for $1500 (how convenient). He told me I had to pay $200 for this... no cleaning... just looked up there and said oh I can’t do it you owe us $200 and it cannot be applied to the repair unless you give us $550 today! What a scam... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, hire a company that will come out and give you a quote. Not a company that will charge you for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I’m disgusted.

I was impressed with the professionalism and courtesy. They arrived right on time and provided clear and helpful information on options. Would definitely use again.

The install went well, they did a real nice job, cleaned up good too. My only complaint was it took about two months from the time I paid the deposit,until they did the installation. I am assuming it was because of the steel tariffs and they can't get the product as quick.

Everything went well. Great job cleaning and cleaning up. Showed us pictures of what was found in the inspection.

They did an excellent job! They (Shadrick & Sam) were very knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt! Cleaning fireplaces is very messy work, but they protected our new carpet nicely with drop cloths. And they did a great job cleaning up after their work was complete. We will need some repairs as a result of the inspection, but Shadrick was very informative and explained why the repairs needed to be made and how the repairs would be made when we schedule the work.

Very well, everything went smoothly and we are happy with the result. We also use Chimney Cricket for our annual chimney sweeping and they do a good job.

This company has a lot to learn about being in the public service industry. Not professional!! I had an appointment scheduled several days ago from 1 to 3 p.m. Driver called me at 1:30 stating that his vehicle would not start. I explained that I was using my last vacation day of the year and have a baby do very soon and need to get this done. I politely asked him if there was anyone else that would be able to complete the job. He told me he would make some phone calls and get back with me right away. An hour later I had not yet received the phone call so I called the company. I spoke with who I believe was the manager and she told me that she had been trying to help him with his truck all morning. If they would have let me know first thing in the morning I would have been able to get someone else out to do the job! She told me that she would see if anyone else was available and give me a call back. Once again, I found myself calling her back I'm our later. She had no information for me but told me that she would text all of her drivers and let me know if anyone know asap . By this time it was nearing 3:00. Yet again, I did not receive a phone call so I called the manager back but she did not answer the phone. I also tried calling the driver who also ignored my call. It is been several weeks and nobody has bothered to reach out to me. In my experience, a company this bad with customer service will be even more disappointing once the work begins. No thank you please.

They were good! They did what we asked and did a good job.

They did the job, but it wasn't to my satisfaction. It was really hard to reach them by phone to correct the issue, but once I withheld the check, they came right away and did a really good job! I was pretty satisfied, and the price was fair.

I scheduled an appointment for between 2 & 4 PM.  I arrived home at 2 and called at ~ 2:45 to ask when they might be coming.  I needed to get back to work as we were busy so I was hoping they were on their way.  The woman had to call the service man so she called me back to tell me that he still had another roof to do (flashing) and would not be coming before 5, likely 6 PM.  I asked if anyone was planning to call me to let me know the delay and she replied that it was his fault as he should have called (in my world you take responsibility for screw ups and do not blame it on another person in the company.).  I said I would come back and to have him give me a 20 minute out call.  She replied that it would be too late and he needed at least 3 hours of light.  It is light till at least 9 this time of year, I pointed this out and she said that they did not work after 5 (which begs the question why did she answer that they needed 3 hours).  I was frustrated and said so and said that I expected a company to provide better information and that I was disappointed that she blamed the service man instead of simply apologizing.  she said that she was going to hang up and that I could speak to her when I was "calmed down".  I was very calm.  She hung up.  I called back, both numbers and she would not pick up.  I then called another service provider, local company called Smokestack Sweep. They were $50 cheaper and their customer service was excellent.

Excellent experience and I would recommend them. A plumber told me that my chimney was probably blocked so I called Chimney Cricket to come out. They were excellent to deal with on the telephone and came out the next morning on time. The owner cleaned out the chimney and showed me all of the leaves that had fallen down, partially blocking my hot water heater vent. He cleaned everything out and suggested that we install a chimney cap. Our home inspector had also suggested a cap. He immediately installed the cap and mesh around it - done and cleaned up within an hour. Very professional. I would recommend them again and already gave their business card to my next door neighbor.

It took forever to finally get on the schedule to have the work done once we contracted with them and got the parts ordered. There was also a little confusion over the gas burner that we could have with the log set we had ordered.  I think we started the process in early November and were told we would have it done in the first couple weeks of December.  We kept being told that there were others on the schedule ahead of us that needed to be completed.  We finally got it scheduled and were told it would be a 2-3 day job. I believe the installation took place the week of January 15.  It ended up being the full week, but the workers were very diligent, hard working, and cleaned up after themselves very completely.  They even braved some extreme weather conditions to get up on the roof and install the chimney liner.  We were very happy with the finished product and would have been more irritated with the delays in getting scheduled if we were actually occupying the house at the time.  We moved in a couple weeks after the job was completed and have really enjoyed our new fireplace!

The service was supposed to include cleaning of insert doors and this was not done.  I also felt like he was trying to scare me into having them install a steel flu liner.

It went well.  No complaints on the chimney cleaning.
