The tech worked with us explaining the pros and cons of just replacing the mother board vs a new furnace. We went with a new furnace and they were back within two hours to install. Performed an energy audit that took HOURS. it was not a rushed job, and he reviewed his assessment with me in detail. That alone was worth the cost. He pointed out spots where there were big heat losses in my home, and what could be done to resolve them. Never pressured me to get the services, but he did show me which things I could do and how much they'd cost, as well as the rebate I'd receive from my energy company. I selected to get my basement rim joist spray insulated, add insulation to the attic, add insulation caps to all the recessed lighting fixtures in the attic, add insulation do attic entryway, and spray and install more insulation around the bonus room above my garage. Each one was an option, and gave improvements to the overall comfort of the house. Work was done in 2 days (they needed to come back due to power issues for the insulation blower). Overall, I'm happy with the results. house is more comfortable and furnace is running less."
