We had a little scheduling hiccup in the beginning, but got them to come out a little later that same day.  Nice couple guys came out and troubleshooted the problem, at the end they thought it might be the water heater, but weren't sure.  A year later I changed the water heater and the noise stopped.  They only charged me nominally since they could not put their finger on the cause.

He did a great job and pointed out an area of our drain stack that was improperly installed. We will definitely call him to fix the stack problem.

The tub and shower do not work. I asked him to put the receipt under my mother's name which is where the work was being done. He said there would be no problem in changing the receipt but he has not done it yet or contacted me.

Because we had to coordinate the service call with a temporary shut-off, of the water, by the city timing was important. Mr. Hairston and his apprentice Gary arrived within approximately 15 minutes of our calling them, once the shut-off had occurred. They explained to us what work would be done and took approximately 35 minutes to complete the job. Before completing the work we were told that it was 'ok' to call to have the water restored. That meant that we were able to spend less time waiting for the city to come back out. As we had read in other reviews before, the area worked in was cleaned at the completion of the job. Mr. Hairston offered to send our receipt via email and was willing to accept whatever form of payment we wanted ( cash, check or charge). He invited us to contact him if anything else needed addressing. He was pleasant and polite as was Gary his apprentice.

It only took an hour for the repairs so the inconvenience was minimal. I would use them again and recommend their services to others.

Hairston plumbing did an excellent job.  They were very punctual, professional, and left the area clean.  Top notch.

We had a back-up in the basement & Mike came out as scheduled to fix it.  He snaked the drain and gave us some suggestions for root killer.  Unfortunately, as he fully admitted, his equipment wasn't quite what was needed for this job, as our drain has a root growing thru it.  It was a temporary fix.  When it backed up again a month later, he connected us with a business associate of his who had appropriate equipment.  The associate came out as scheduled & worked quickly.  We also used the suggested root killer that time & we have not had a problem since.  The root is a known ongoing issue, and we will use Mike again in the future. He is a super nice guy, and very pleasant to work with.

It turned out ok. He was very good in the fact that the first time he came out he did not have proper equipment but he was good enough to come back and try again with heavier equipment.  The job was not successfully completed but I would give him an A for effort.

Professional, responsive, completed job in a timely fashion as promised.  Quality work, reliable.  Will definitely use this company in the future.

Contractor snaked basement drain and added air admittance value in basement to eliminate water flow problem.  This appeared to fix the problem, but after one day problem fully re-appeared.  Since I had paid him and he did give me a guarantee on his work, tried to call Michael Hairston several times over several days and even left messages, but received no call back.  Also tried emailing him, but no response or call back.

After waiting a week, decided to go with another plumbing contractor to fix the problem.  Contractor diagnosed the problem being caused by a blockage in the basement floor drain, but used a much larger head on the drain snake than did Hairston Plumbing to clear out the problem and pulled out plenty of debris. This fixed the problem and drains now work as expected.

While Michael Hairston is a well spoken and friendly guy, he didn't fix the problem nor honor his warranty and I'm out $200.  As importantly, he didn't have the right equipment (e.g., the larger drain snake head) to fix the problem in the first place.   Would definitely NOT use him again!

Still have slow drains. Wasn't money well spent. Won't be using them again.

, charged $45.00 for work on toilet.  Requested itemized receipt...was told that he would e-mail it.  NEVER RECEIVED.  CALLED

TO LET HIm KNOw. Was told that they would be back to check...never happened.  Wrote them a letter explaining my concerns and that I would not recommend them...said that he would return the $45.00...did not..  The money return was not my reason for calling...rather the absolute failure of performance.
