"Robert is just great to work with and is so customer friendly. As an example, our remote to the fireplace stopped working. We called RPF construction and they replaced the remote no questions asked. The follow up was just great and without any hassle, plus they brought the new remote to our house...this is after a year. I would recommend Robert and RPF Construction Co. to anyone!"

"Very well. Found that there were some issues with our gas fireplace set and CJW took care of it for us. We've never had work done before on a gas fireplace so we dont have much to compare it to. However, we feel it was done well and at a fair price. Would hire them again."

"They did an excellent job! They (Shadrick & Sam) were very knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt! Cleaning fireplaces is very messy work, but they protected our new carpet nicely with drop cloths. And they did a great job cleaning up after their work was complete. We will need some repairs as a result of the inspection, but Shadrick was very informative and explained why the repairs needed to be made and how the repairs would be made when we schedule the work."

While the bottom-up method can cause more of a mess, it’s a good option if you’re not comfortable getting on the roof.

You can use a fireplace with a broken damper, but only if the damper is in the open position. If not, your fireplace will not properly vent smoke outdoors. Never operate your fireplace if the damper is sealed shut and you cannot open it, as deadly smoke will quickly fill your home. If your fireplace damper is broken, have it repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

While not all gas fireplaces require a traditional chimney, for those that use one, a cap provides several key benefits. It prevents rain, debris, and animals from entering the chimney, which can cause blockages or damage. A cap also helps prevent downdrafts that could push harmful gases like carbon monoxide back into your home. When installing a cap, ensure it is appropriate for a gas fireplace and does not restrict proper ventilation.
