"This team did an amazing job of resolving all the squirrel access points on my home and remediating the damage already done by the pesky little varmints. I was extremely impressed at the level of attention and care they showed to the many areas of the building that needed cleaning as well. I am an extremely satisfied customer."

"We were totally satisfied with our experience with Bust a Bug. We were able to get an inspection & service the same day we contacted the company. Efren (our technician) was courteous & professional & very knowledgeable regarding our pest problem. This will be our “go to” company if we encounter any new problems with pests."

"I took three bids to take care of the squirrels that invaded my attic. I am so glad that I chose Apex and that was based on the inspection that was done by Jacob who did the the estimate on the work needed to be done. He did a much more thorough job of examining the situation and identifying what needed to be done to remove the pests and moreover, all of the areas of the house, foundation, bricks, cracks, or openings around windows and doors to be repaired to keep pests from reentering. He was able to find more places and showed me with photographs what else needed to be done and the information he provided showed that he had the experience and expertise that I wanted for the job. Nathan, who came out to do the work was also very personable, courteous, and efficient and when Jacob came back to review what had been done he explained all of what happened and then talked in detail about how this would be followed up in the coming weeks. I have been very satisfied with their work and plan to use them again for another project."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

For minor pest issues in Brighton, use food-grade diatomaceous earth for ants, vacuum spider webs, and place snap traps for rodents in secure locations. Seal cracks with caulk and keep food sealed. Always follow label directions, wear gloves, and keep treatments away from children and pets. If you spot signs of a larger infestation or recurring problems, contact a local exterminator for expert help.

Helpful?

Effective pest control in Brighton means staying proactive year-round. In spring, seal entry points and clean gutters; summer requires checking for wasp nests and keeping basements dry. During fall, block rodent entry and clear yard debris. Winter is for inspecting heated spaces for rodents. Monthly, inspect food storage, empty garbage cans, and check bait stations to prevent infestations and maintain results.

Helpful?

In Brighton, over-cleaning treated areas, leaving pet food out, or letting gutters collect water can reduce pest control effectiveness. Neglecting to seal cracks, storing firewood near your home, or not trimming vegetation invites pests back. Using harsh cleaning products or DIY sprays over professional treatments can interfere with results. Consistent food storage, moisture control, and routine home checks help extend your pest control’s lifespan.

Helpful?

After pest control in Brighton, avoid cleaning treated surfaces for 24-48 hours and ventilate your home. Monitor for increased pest activity, which is common as treatments work. In the first week, vacuum dead pests, check bait stations, and note any changes. Schedule a 30-day follow-up with your provider, and keep a log of pest sightings to help track seasonal patterns and treatment effectiveness.

Helpful?

In Brighton, recurring pests like ants, spiders, or beetles—especially after prior treatments—signal that pest control may need repeating. Watch for new wasp nests, fresh rodent droppings, or sand piles from pavement ants. If you notice sawdust trails, box elder bugs clustering, or increased pest sightings within 30-60 days, this often points to an ongoing infestation or ineffective exterminator work.
