Small jobs welcome

"Five Brothers Junk Removal exceeded expectations. I posted on Angie’s List and had a callback within 90 seconds — they came out same day for an estimate, and their bid matched my budget exactly. We scheduled the work for day three, and their two-man crew arrived and worked diligently for one solid hour, completing the entire project: old play structures, two oversized 100+ lb sandboxes, tarps, Power Wheels, bikes, yard waste, and debris — all cleared, leaving the yard spotless. The estimate matched the final invoice exactly, and they delivered everything promised, on schedule. Efficient, hardworking, and completely reliable. THE BEST! I’ll be recommending them on every neighborhood app I use. As a Chevy Chase/Bethesda homeowner, I refer Five Brothers with complete confidence. Sara"

"He had an awful mess to clean up & hail away. My relatives property which is in a different state had been neglected for YEARS. David & his crew worked for at least 3 days cutting overgrown weeds & vegetation & Hauling away crap that was discarded or just left to rot & ended up buried underneath all the weeds & saplings. They had their work cut out for them. David kept me posted as to what he was doing & sent photos. Very good communication. Would definitely recommend his company"

"Josh did an amazing job on our heavy cleanout project. The amount of clutter was overwhelming, but he came in with a plan and handled everything professionally from start to finish. He worked quickly, stayed organized, and made the whole process stress-free for us. He was respectful of the situation, communicated clearly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was cleared out and cleaned up properly. The transformation was unbelievable. I highly recommend Josh and his team if you need a large cleanout done right!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Plan on cleaning your crawl space at least once a year, though twice a year is ideal. During the cleaning, remove any debris or dust and check for potential issues like pest infestations or water damage. The sooner you catch these issues, the easier (and cheaper) it will be to fix them.

Once the fire pit ashes have entirely cooled, you can dispose of them with your regular garbage — just wait a day or two to be safe. However, there are lots of good uses for fire pit ashes around the house, so they’re worth saving in a bin outside. For instance, they can help repel pests from your garden and also add rich nutrients to the soil. You can also use the ashes in the winter; ashes are good at providing traction on icy driveways and can even melt snow and ice quickly.

Yes, a toilet is considered construction debris or construction waste by definition in many states. Toilets are bulky, heavy items that generally cannot be thrown out with regular household trash, and many waste management providers will not pick up a toilet unless it’s part of a scheduled bulk trash pickup service.

Preparation involves site assessment, clearing debris, grading surfaces, and compacting soil to support stable construction.

You have several options for disposing of excess sand. Any extra sand from your project can be used as part of your topsoil mixture to level out an uneven lawn. You can also donate it, give it to a green waste facility, or ask neighbors if they need sand. Another option is to try reselling it on a marketplace or simply returning unused bags to the original store.
